Hersonissos is a party destination on the island of Crete in Greece. Although Hersonissos is a good place for all ages, it's 100% for the tourists only, so you won't find an authentic Cretan village there.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. You can see my guide to the beaches of Hersonissos here, if you use a translator: www.lomaeuroopassa.fi/kohteet/kreikka/kreeta/hersonissos/ Casa Blu is located 1.5 km from the sea to the inland? The beaches most near it are the beaches in the city center. The second picture in the website is the nearest one to Casa Blu. I would go a bit further to Alekos Garden (0:42 and 0:55 in the video) or the next one Chrysi Ammos in the South (0:30 in the video). They are both 3 km away from Casa Blu. The longest beach is located north of the harbour, 2 km from Casa Blu. It's at 0:33 in the video and not so crowded as the one most near you.

Looks amazing. Only slight concern atm is the number of fires in Greece lately. Is Hersonissos a low risk area?

The very first seconds are from a random location at Star Beach. The coordinates are 35.30765253571708, 25.406600625332143 The next one is from an area next to the city center with many restaurants. I think the one on the left in the video is Med Cafe. The coordinates are: 35.313504528487385, 25.39774642204735
