Nightcore was popular even before 2020. It's not something very old or forgotten

@@nmv8017 Sped Up/Nightcore Music it's a little older than it looks.This type of music began in the 2000s (2002) with the Norwegian duo nightcore , It's been 22 years since the genre was created, so it's natural to think that it is not heard so much, What I didn't know was that in 2020 this trend became popular, thanks for the information, I'm glad to know.

This type of music was more popular in the late 2000s and early 2010s. I was in school back then and I always used to come home, hop on my PC, and listen to nightcore while gaming. That is, if I wasn't in a skype call lol. Those were the days. Nightcore seems to be resurging in popularity a bit lately but there is a difference in style between the nightcore of today and the nightcore from 12+ years ago. The video we're watching mimicks the old nightcore edits you'd find where they're more lofi, have some unique (possibly tacky) artwork and effects, 4:3 aspect ratio, etc.

The difference is it is now usually called sped up instead of nightcore, and uses aesthetic pictures and colored background. I prefer nightcore with the anime pictures. It’s magical and nostalgic.
