Wij zijn Zeehondencentrum Pieterburen, een van de oudste en beste opvangcentra voor zeehonden ter wereld. Op onze campus en field station wonen en werken vrijwilligers en onderzoekers uit de hele wereld. Door onze gezamenlijke passie en de multidisciplinaire aanpak vormen we een learning community. We brengen die passie over op het grote publiek en zo maken we hen bewust van onze missie: een gezonde zeehond in een schone zee!

We are Sealcentre Pieterburen, one of the oldest and best seal rehabilitation centres in the world. Volunteers and researchers from all over the world live and work on our campus and field station. Through our collective passion and multidisciplinary approach we form a learning community. We transfer our passion to the public and make them aware of our mission: A healthy seal in a healthy sea!

Humanity puts a considerable amount of pressure on the maritime ecosystems. So much in fact that without intervention these ecosystems can not maintain themselfes anymore. It is vital that their beauty and wealth are preserved for the generations that follow. Thank you for your service!
