Late game you're gonna be having a human heavy army so this divine bonus doesn't seem so impressive if you think that units with anti infantry or anti cavalry bonus will be much more effective against most of the armies since they'll be human heavy

Bonus Damage generally always trumps flat damage because of the multipliers - losing their bonuses hurt them a bit. If your opponent is spamming Myth Units or in Greek Mirrors they work a little better.

That Myrmidon Divine Damage also deal bonus damage to building, that is priceless.... it is actually a rush tactic or quick counter strat (while having Restoration). Combined with Hephaestus (despite his underwhelming Plenty Vault), the cheap Armory Upgrade means you can have more unit, and slightly buffed in this case. People ignore hephaestus in favor of Mythic AoE ability, but even 2 Colossus can help tremendously in combat.

I thought they were op even with the 20% lifesteal. I've had a couple games where the opponent had the advantage for most of the game and I didn't have much space but as soon as I got any group of hetairoi out their armies got no joke melted. If you weren't preparing for most of the game for it Idk how you effectively counter it. Even if you do anticipate it and choose your minor god and tech path accordingly you're doing that based just on the potential that I spam it when I could just choose a different option

I'd really suggest Spear of Phobos 'the fear one' as Poseidon (mostly in team games) as speed isn't as important there for Prodromos. That 1.3 attack speed reduces the 1 divine damage to about 0.8-0.75 per second, but that gets multiplied by the 3.5 against cav units. Then you heal off of that plus the base damage you did. If nothing else, 1 divine/second on militia & hoplites too - does help out. But it's the 3.5 multiplier that does so much of the work for prodromos in these cases.

Ptah upgrades piercing armor, it only protects against archers. Anubis + Horus might have a chance.

@@Alche_mist no sir. Hippikon is anti ranged cavalary unit. Prodromos is anti cavalary cavalary unit. Hetaroi is anti evertyhing cavalary unit and centaurs are fast and furious villager killer cavalary unit. All of them cavalary and so fast 😅

They are like cataphracts from aoe2, except no bonus damage to infantry. Fun fact, cataphract is an unit in the editor, not the Chinese one, but was in the base game and had bonus damage to infantry. None of the Greeks got it though, sadly.

It used the Achilles model and the generic military voice, iirc. Seems like something that was scrapped early in design.

This unit is op, I could not do shit against it with full Ra elefants crocs and spearmen, ally also fought him with elefants and he beat both of us. I even said in that match this unit needs a fking nerf!

Hi, you have to do it with triggers (Set Tech Status). It's fairly annoying to do it one-by-one, I've got a map setup by now though with a lot of the techs. Thank you!

Greeks - Prodromos trade well with them as well as counter literally everything from the Migdol. Egyptians - Horus-Spearmen will melt them. Norse - Hirdmen are a very cost-effective way to spam them to death and melt them with Bragi. Atlantean - Katapeltes, especially through Oceanus. Don't try to 'outgun' them by just training more of your same units - just pick a counter-unit and if your opponent doesn't adapt and keeps spamming Elephants you should eliminate their economy pretty quickly.

Assuming you're playing Poseidon, build Podromos. With the 30% lifestyle, they decimate them and just outheal their damage. If you have 2-3 Podromos connecting onto each Elephant they'll go down extremely fast
