This fan pv actually kinda reminds me of a hetalia fanfic I read, especially the "intro" of each characters. The name is "All That Passes" in AO3, it touched the topic of how the colonizers of SEA met and later on view their former colonies. In there, Malaysia is the rebellious, daring, and desperate little warrior who defied Portugal at every corner to avoid getting captured (Rebellious Lemon Candy), Indonesia is the kind and understanding who always seem to be mellow, while Singapore is "cursed" somewhat by Portugal who called him "great ruins" due to Singapore's inexistent settlement. The second chap is about Philippines and Spain, in there, Philippines is naive and kind (Kind apricot tea), and also almost hurt in a crossfire between Portugal and Spain but Indonesia stepped in and prevented Portugal from doing it. Most of the lyrics coincides beautifully. I was just thinking about that fanfic all the while, hahah. Great art, I know it's hard to make quality fan pv like this.

I keep going back to this masterpiece and I can't helped but think how this also fit Piri so much. Apricot Tea (Spain) - "Nobody will come and hurt us anymore." since Spain colonized and terrorize our country for 333 years and Piri would have let Spain have him if he only treated him right. America (Lemon candy) - "Nobody will come and trick us anymore." is such an emotional statement considering how America lied to Philippines about that "war" when in actuality it was just a mock battle and Spain sold Piri to America instead. Japan (Blueberry jam) - "Nobody will resent and hurt us anymore." well.. Japan was probably (imo) the most brutal one out of the 3, especially the "Comfort women" thing and Piri still wants an apology from it, but he never got one. And lastly! Even in the way the Asean comforted Indo is how I exactly imagined our colonizer would have comforted Piri if they treated him better. Spain by sailing, America's cheerfulness and optimism and Japan's gentleness. It all went perfectly aligned with it. (Although this is all just my opinion and maybe a bit of my headcanon for this lol, but it really just all fits)

It's not about piri tho, those lyrics reflects more on the personality of malaysia (formerly Malacca), Singapore, and Philippines. In Indonesia's verse he expresses regret on failing to protect them by asking "do you hate me ?" I think it's beautiful that the brothers comforted abang in their own way, certainly one of the more wholesome sibling in the franchise. While it's true piri suffers under spain to the point of losing his identity and feeling disconnected from the rest of his brothers. malacca rebelled hard against brittain while having to care for singa and seeing Philippines lose himself in the process. "I come to trade." Said the brit holding an agreement paper. As a result singa got caught in the crossfire. Indonesia felt like he failed them as he wasn't able to unite the surrounding factions, tribes, sultanate and kingdoms as quickly in the past, thus making him weak towards Netherlands (this will later influence the motto unity in diversity and together we are strong). And he suffered 2 major erruptions that created a mini ice age on earth for a couple decades. Failed harvest= angry neth

Your hc was a fun read tho, I wish the sea, south asia, middle east got screen time on the anime but having them exist in the manga is also cool.
