I wouldn't really count Macedonia as a Slavic country because it orginated in Greece and the other half of Macedonia still belongs to Greece, including the Pella the ancient capital of Macedonia birth place of Alexander the Great.

I'm sorry, but I can't stay silent about this comment anymore. Macedonia is a Slavic country, their language is very similar to bulgarian. And I know that Macedonia did belong to Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia. Macedonian think that they are Slavic Greeks, I'm sorry but they are not Greeks... I also think that they belong to Bulgaria. APHVietnam *Yuzuki Stardust* Glad to hear you say your opinion. Over or before the 2 months I posted this comment I already realized those things about "modern" Macedonia. I mostly mean by name, origin, and geographically that Mecadonia is Greek land, just like Russia and Belarus once belonged to Ukraine at the time of Kievan Rus. Plus they still think of Alexander the Great as a national hero by having a statue and an airline in honor of him and they still associated themselves with ancient Macedonia for obvious reasons but I digress. Even though they have a language simmilar to Bulgaria they still have Greek in it, and that the alphabet used in Russia, Belaurus, Ukraine, Macedonia, Serbia, and other Slavic languages came from the Byzantine Greek. I was just thinking that you also said that Macedonians think the are Slavic-Greek but then you said they a Slavs, yet they could still have Greek genetics inside them. I also knew that back then they were a part of Yugoslavia and is why Serbia has some parts of that country and the types of ethnic groups in Macedonia. I will still not deny that modern Macedonia was originally from Greece because it was in the map of Ancient Macedonia so was Bulgaria, small parts of Serbia and Albania but I'm not saying the Empire made Bulgaria but I simply think FYROM or will be called Northern Macedonia as a cousin to Greece. I'll restate my first comment, I would call the land and name of Macedonia Greek, but the people to be part Greek and Slavic, and the language to be Bulgarian, Greek, and a bit of Turkish. I wouldn't count the country/land to be slavic but the people to be both Slavic and Greek. Sorry if what I'm saying feels argumentative I'm not trying to change your mind I'm also saying what I think. Also if your wondering if why I didn't say this sooner in my first commeny, it's because I have a bad habit of not explain things in full detail.
