In Alaska we call these Huge Crack not Hewes Craft. The better boats for AK are King Fisher or Duckworth

I like the aluminum boats, but in FL they have downsides. Can only imagine how hot they would get baking in the sun. Also they are loud with waves hitting against the hull as was mentioned.

He never said the price that I heard anyhow, and even though it looks like a great boat us north eastern guys need to be able to walk around the cabin to the bow quite often when fighting a giant bluefin, definitely a nice rig though but it would be the rig if it was 3 feet wider and you could go around the pilot house fighting a big fish

Nice boat, nice design except for one thing. Get rid of one of those engines, no need for 2 of them and get a small kicker on it as standard equipment.

@@jsboening Not on a small boat like that if the Captain knows anything. I bought mine new in 2018. The first thing I did was sell one of the twins, bought a kicker and add aftermarket bow thrusters. I still had half the cash left over from the sell of the engine.

bro! u should check out Stabicraft 2750centrecab! it’s better than deep vhulls with reverse chines.. Stabicraft has a well thought out designed called “the arrow body pontoons” and also their newly developed “game chaser transoms” for easier reverse and not having much resistance while in reverse.. I myself own a 2019 Stabicraft 2500ultracab XL and also a 2020 Stabi 1850supercab... had purchased 5 new glass boats in the past but none can compared too Stabicraft... As for noises there foam filled injections n also u can also use sound deadening n top it foam like seadek... overall a vhull is just a vhull regardless of how wide it is.., still has its flaws whilst Stabicraft..., lets say there isnt any lol Stabi’s about fishing n it’s about safety.., it’s built for stability n buoyancy most of all it’s unsinkable 😉😉😉

Brian Woodward guessing u need a longer warranty on certain boats coz u have no faith in its products 😂🤣😂🤣 it’s like ure investing in a KIA for its long time warranty to 100k miles.., it’s common sense as to something being new would give its issues within the first 2 years of owning a boat.., ive owned robalo, boston whalers n grady whites.., i have faith n trust in the purchases i make.. u should try giving stabi’s a test drive n than hope on the hewescraft.., only 2 hewescraft i would consider getting is the 27’ alaskan or the 29’ adventure.., but it’s too late.., ima Stabi4Lifer! 2019 Stabicraft 2500ultracab XL 2020 Stabicraft 1850supercab! will upsize to a Stabi 2750centrecab within 2yrs as i plan on retiring at 45 😉😉😉

if you hit a rock in a aluminum boat most likely your getting a new boat. Hit one in a fiberglass it can be fixed. Also weight > all.

Ahhh I bought my alum to go on concrete, mud and rocks. Can cut weld in patch panel if it does tear, now hit one hard enough with all glass or steel rock will always win. Then paper then scissor.

I don't understand why anyone who spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on a boat wouldn't want it to be built with durability and ruggedness in mind first. Fiberglass guys can say what they want about the "tingyness" of aluminum but ive been in many fiberglass boats that sound like you're inside a clorox bottle floating around at sea.

Not really, you will have problems with galvanic corrosion. You could but the boat would require constant attention and you wouldn’t want to leave it in saltwater for prolonged periods. My advice would be to buy the trailer and save yourself the trouble of corrosion.

Heavier boats ride better through the waves, also sand beaches aren't too much of an issue for fiberglass. Towing aluminum is easier for the mountain passes.

When aluminum oxidizes that's how it protects itself from corrosion,at least that's how it was explained to me when I delivered a load of brand new aluminum to a plant in Illinois.Funny thing on that delivery is if any of the aluminum was oxidized the customer would have refused the entire shipment

Zinc anodes will stop any corrosion

@@Frankiegish zinc helps it not a guarantee. Aluminum will get oxidation over time. When you put a hole dent in it that structure is Garbage. You can't weld an bend it back to shape. Stainless or steel always better because you can fix with a welder. Aluminum becomes weak after stress.

That boat sucks, visibility from inside helm. The wiring in the battery storage was a mess, the rear helm is a joke, what fucking company would not put controls and only make a steering helm, I would not even consider this company to buy a boat from
