i just have to say that i absolutely loved your videos last may when revising for my gcses, and i included some of the things I learnt from you in my papers, and I can guarantee that contributed to me getting a grade 9 so I would like to thank you so so much. Now that I am going into a -level computer science and I unfortunately have a terrible teacher, I am so grateful for these videos, as I need all the help I can get. Thank you for all you do.

That's brilliant, well done! I'm glad to have helped. That makes things harder of course but there's no reason you can't still do really well at A level :)

Numbers • how to convert positive denary whole numbers (0-255) into 8 bit binary numbers and vice versa • how to add two 8 bit binary integers and explain overflow errors which may occur • binary shifts • how to convert positive denary whole numbers (0-255) into 2 digit hexadecimal numbers and vice versa • how to convert from binary to hexadecimal equivalents and vice versa • check digits. It doesnt say anything about decimals?
@und34dm4n65 жыл бұрын
erm... decimals is just referring to whole numbers in this case, the standard number count we use in real life. Don't confuse this with maths decimal. IK its weird but I hope u understand my explanation, if not just reply quickly. This was within an hour of u commenting.

It's what A represents in hex, just used as reference point to see what 13 is (D) -- see the table at the start of the video
