Thanks. I bought this in Hungary 25 years ago and it fell apart when I moved and I could not figure out how to rebuild it. Thank you for posting this. You are awesome.

6 years on... In the default (Solution 1) position, there is a set of 3 pieces that are interlaced together, and will slide along the three central prisms on their side, until they come apart. In the secondary (Solution 2) position, there is a "keystone" piece which should be the only one that moves somewhat freely. In the tertiary (Solution 3) position... Good luck. I broke a piece trying to disassemble a plastic version of this puzzle. I would imagine a smaller wooden one would be the same. I bought a large wooden one which won't break, and it started scratching up / denting / compressing some of the wood.

If it is in the same arrangement as the video (#1), you have to pull all three together. If it is in arrangement #2 (possible in the plastic version, with nine identical two-notched pieces, and three identical three-notched pieces), then there is a single "keystone" piece that will need to come out first. When I got mine into arrangement 2, I actually got one of the notches stuck on the inside of another piece, and it wouldn't move either way, because of the way in which they fit together. It ended up taking several hours to push them into the correct position to unlock it, again. There is also a third arrangement (#3), that I have been unable to figure out, yet.

Hi, I don't have any problems disassembling it, I just pull any piece to disassemble. maybe the other way around? Start with the end of the video?
