I don't know if you've ever heard of Floor, but i was it's bass player circa 92-93. Our main influences were...Godflesh, the Melvins, and....Helmet.

@hexvhs_official Haha, guilty as charged!! Swans' Cop was on heavy rotation for me back then. Loanin has always been my favorite Floor track, Steve and Anthony put out the Madonna ep just before I was asked to join them. I'm a guitarist by nature, but played bass at the request of Steve Brooks, a friend since my teens (Anthony and I also went way back). We wore our influences on our sleeves, it's hard for some ppl to imagine nowadays, but there were very, very few acts around doing the kinda stuff we, Melvins, Godflesh, etc were pushing. If you check out the Iommi track, you'll hear my bass in the intro, not to toot my own horn, but that's one of the best bass fuzz tones I've heard, to this very day. I used a Boss CS-2 with a Rat2! Last bit of junk trivia, the bass I played was a 1968 Fender Precision that originally belonged to the bassist for Anthrax. My roots run deep, yo!! Looking forward to hearing more from HEXVHS!!
