Fun facts about this mod Even if you try finding exe related content in the files you can't find them in the assets because they are hidden within the code, when you first start up the mod it will activate the codes programming which even if you check the files while running the game in the back, it won't work regardless Which to be honest I don't know if there's any mod that can do that out there. But yes the reason why the creators of this mod which is JoeDoughBoi (the creator of Lord X) and Marstarbro (who is composing songs for the mod and his other work) did this was to make things feel like a normal Sonic mod, a trap Hence why it was called RodenTRAP and that it's true name will only be revealed if you exit out the mod and start it up again which will show you that it is now called Sonic Legacy, it's only a demo for now but there is more in store to come.

I think at the beginning of FNF we did get a bunch of Sonic mods, but overtime people leaned more into Sonic.exe with the og mod coming out and people realizing that Sonic (For some ungodly reason) is a good template for turning into a horrible monstrosity. But it's not like we don't get fnf mods they just get overshadowed by Sonic.exe mods which usually have bigger mod teams and get leaked super quickly.

Eh, the pure remix mods you just listed were gonna run out of content eventually because the base game hasn't been updated in years. After that, they would have had the same problem EXE mods did for the last couple years where they were just retreading the same ground, and that would kill 'em off just the same. What I really miss are the days when people gave a shit about pure OC mods made to fit into the FNF universe and its style instead of being all EXEs.

Free 4 me is actually called Obituary.(Even pre fake out having names on timer shown reveals this spoiling the bait and switch into 2011X. Someone I watched play the mod blind did notice but didn’t see. Also the “Do you want to play with me?” Changes the application name which makes me think that sets the “Bait and switch has been shown” trigger

i think fnf is in a weird middle point where a bunch of mods have really big updates in the works like hotline and dusttale and stuff like that but they are making sure they take their time and focusing on the quality of it rather than speed. i actually much prefer getting huge mods like once every or every other month with a couple nice and small demos and one shots in the middle of it, and while i wouldn’t say it’s the best era or anything it’s nice to not have to keep up with a bunch of new stuff nearly weekly

Honestly, can agree with the views at the start, Aside from Marios Madness, there wasn't really much that latched me, things with the mods got oversaturated and really the old ones had the pizazz and were what brought new things to the table, Whitty brought increased difficulty, Tabi introduced life drain, Gimmick Notes were introduced early too and Mod Charts got brought in early where Hex really showed it could be pushed. Nowadays they're spammed with little to no difference. Marios Madness had ideas like the Overworld, using the mouse to draw and freezing the timer in Demise. Other than that mods got stale and the game itself is more stale than a corpse.

I understand where you come from at the beginning of the story ant. The problem with todays fnf mods in my opinion is that over the coming years, just like other games in general, the bar is being set higher and higher in terms of quality and quantity within the game. and the less of that there is, the less traction it gains and the more it is just forgotten, which for alot of fnf creators have just demotivated them along the way, hence the cancellation of many mods (and leakers.)
