Shay this is beautifully shot. I especially like the running dog and the walk across the log. This is shot in a way as if I'm along on the journey. I agree that it's difficult to know anyone but sometimes every once in awhile you can feel what someone else is feeling. Feelings transcend thought. Well filmed and written.

My brother and his friends are going a different direction than I am, im going to explore on my own. I love the Philippines, I love everything about this beautiful country. The culture and traditions here, are what is missing in American culture. I mean no disrespect to America, I served my country honorably, without hesitation, one of my brothers also served, I play by the rules, I work hard, I'm working on my personal life, as instinct tells me to do, it's my time to shine, that's why I am here, my path led me here to the Phillipines. Great story telling will have a purpose and generate food for after thought. Telling story’s can often be confusing for others to follow, and understand the different levels of thoughts that went into each segment of the story as it transitions and relates to the characters, and develops with the deeper meanings. I love the stories with minimalist of words to effectively make the story memorable, and completely create this feeling for the majority to feel and live within their mind’s eye to visualize with their imagination. The adage less is more definitely applies when creating and refining a story. ❤🙏🎥🍿

Hi Shay, like Lee, I found your channel through "Ask An Older Man". Nice video... love the philosophical perspective and loved what you had to say about the differences between Filipinas and Western women. I've been married to my asawa for 10 years (was previously married to an American woman)... we have two beautiful children. We're looking forward to my retirement in the Philippines... 4 years. I love the country, the people, the beaches, and the way of life. I'm different when I'm there (in a positive way) - so my wife tells me. I pray that Filipinas will stick to their culture. It ,makes you different and desirable in ways that we just don't see with many Western women. I frequently tell my wife that I married a Filipina and a Filipina is the wife that I want... not a Western 'independent' woman. There are some good women here too, but the Filipina perspective on men and what a husband means to them, and how they should be treated is so very different from what Western men are familiar with here. Filipinas make us want to be better men. You encourage us, make us feel like men... wanted and cared for in the simplest of ways, like putting a towel around her man's neck and down the back when sweating from the heat in the Philippines. Those simple things don't go unnoticed.

Shay, i think about what it takes, for you to keep your channel marching forward, i think about how much time and thought you put into your art, and i am exhausted thinking about it. I mean, maintaining a channel on you tube, is hard work, you do it effortlessly, with style and grace. I dont think i could do it. There are a million you tubers out there, walking around with a go-pro, making videos for the masses to see, some are transparent in their motives, to make a little money, or be seen and heard, some are disingenuous or self-serving in their nature, but your channel is not like those others, who seek to only make a living from having a channel. You are refreshingly and uniquely different from those others. Your video content is deeply meanigful and thoughtful, it comes from your heart, mind and soul. Maybe im based, but your channel is relevant, and incredibly important to not only me, but to each and every member, that places a high premium and value to your art. I pledge to do all i can, to support your work, to help make all things possible for you to continue your journey. I'm probably one of your younger members? No disrespect intended to anyone yall, but your channel appeals to everyone of all ages, everywhere on our little planet. I'm evidence of that. Thank you John for these kind words. We do work hard to make the best content, but for us, it's life because we are both artists. We do think our channel is different from most others, but we spend little time thinking about that, and all of our time creating videos that we want to make. I do put out other content for our Patreon and YT members as well, but here, our focus is on our artistic talents. Prof. Ron is a poet/writer and I am a filmmaker/editor. That's what we do.
