Thank you for being a nurse! Your profession is invaluable. As for Steely Dan, not only were their melodies beautiful and the arrangements tasteful; the lyrics often displayed incredible wit and intelligence. Far superior to today's so-called "music," which is abysmal in comparison. Sure glad I got to see Steely Dan in concert!

Sweet '70's and 80's. This is when music was MUSIC!!!! No vocalizers and synthesized voices. Just musicians doin' their thing. I was shocked to find out that Michael McDonald and Tyran Porter of the Doobie Brothers came from this group.

Such a funny, bittersweet song. Reminds me of an old, dear friend of mine who fell in love with a much younger woman. I think he was 32 at the time, and she was 18 or 19. There was a definite generation gap. Incredibly different people, but very in love. They took all the ribbing in good humor. He's 55 now, they've been married over 20 years and their kids are grown up. This song has been like the perfect soundtrack for their love. It reminds me of this special couple and makes me smile.

Been a huge hip hop fan for 19 years now. Deluded as well maybe, I've shunned other genres thinking that rap was the ultimate to me. It might be the ultimate expressive music, but this stuff is the ultimate, all around timeless type of music I've been in search of for years. Took me a long ass time to find Steely Dan, there have been other artists that kind of swayed me, But not close to this at all. Hope hip hop heads will keep an open mind, hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot, lol. peace.
