An interesting name I saw on Hilary’s tree, that they didn’t explore on the show, was her Dandridge line. If I researched it correctly, Dorothea (Spotswood), who Hilary mentions, marries a Dandridge, who is first cousin to Martha (Dandridge) Custis Washington, the 1st First Lady of the USA. Fascinating roots Ms. Duff’s mom has.

I saw her reaction when she found out she was a descendant from Robert the Bruce. It pissed me off how unenthusiatic she was. I've always been fascinated by him and 2 years ago ,I discovered I have Scottish ancestry (Campbell,Sinclair, McVie,McCoon )and I'd probably shut myself if I found out I was a direct descendant of his. Or any royalty for that matter. I love her on How I Met Your Father ,but otherwise I have always hated her. And this is why.
