The wonder of KZbin and modern communications is that you don't have to be in the city of the artist and part of the scene where they play. One interpretation I have for this is that it's a metaphor for an introvert. He feels isolated from everyone and doesn't know if he can survive in the social world. He sees little glimpses of people close to him, but mostly he is alone, and maybe those glimpses were just in his head. He sees more signs that he's connecting, but still worries it's not real. Finally, there's a spark that gives him a solid sense of true connection that becomes a fire. Now, he can survive. Now, he's not alone.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful song and video! I'm new to Hey Ocean and found out about the band indirectly as a result of Ashleigh Ball's role as voice actress for Rainbow Dash and Applejack in MLP:FIM. I'm glad I gave the band a listen as this is quality singing and composition. I'll be at the Jacksonville concert in March with a friend and my uncle. I'm looking forward to it.
