I've played guitar since I was 8. I've always wanted to play drums as well. I have an old drum set that was used in our high school band for years in the garage, I got two mismatched sticks, dusted off the snare and tightened it up a bit, turned a spam can into a 'cow bell' and used one of my M.A. brass forearm rings as a dampener..... lol! thanks to your videos and encouragement I'm 63 years old practicing like goofy teenager, lol! Gravity blasts rule! You are an awesome mentor for aspiring musicians. You even astound drum teachers. Thank you for your channel.

I’ve been playing drums for 31 years, since I was 3 years old. I’ve gone through phases where I’ll play a lot and I’ve gotten better, but I’ve never really dedicated hours daily to it. I never really practiced rudiments or worked on my right hand specifically (I’m a lefty) either so I’m pretty far behind where I should be for as long as I’ve been playing. This dude has me playing every free minute I have now because I want to see how good I can actually be.

Every once in awhile there needs to be a dynamic shift in what we believe is possible. People get bored and think that the possibilities have all been conquered. Those are not the true believers. Wherever you came from and whoever sent you, I lay praise at their feet and thank them with never ending blessings for sending you. It isn't just about music or music theory. It isn't even about instruments or what that instrument is capable of. It's the human mind and spirit that has endless capability not the vehicle you channel it through. It is up to us to believe in that and you have been chosen to deliver this message to those that choose to hear it. It's not about the drums it's the reinventing of the minds belief that I have no limitations.... thank you. You have shaken things up and awaken spirits that have been dormant. You have tremendous power to change lives my friend. You have changed mine. Thank you and keep up the life changing lessons and work we are blessed to receive.

Only vaguely related, but the ability to isolate or remove an instrument from a song is pretty amazing. Especially for drums, not only does it have to remove the drum sounds themselves, but it has to undo the dynamic compression triggered by the drums. Otherwise, you'd be able to hear where the drums used to be.

Buenas tardes @ElEsteparioSiberiano.

@ElEsteparioSiberiano Thank you for inspiring me to get back into playing drums and percussion. I played all through High School and even marched DCI for 2 seasons. After that I traded my drumsticks for turntables and became a DJ. Lol😂 it was the early 2000’s when the rave scene started to explode. I obtained my B.S. in recording arts and music production. Then life happened….I met a girl, got married, had kids and my dream of being a rockstar music producer went straight out the window. Now, almost 20 years removed from playing drums and recording/producing, you have made an impact on my life through your channel. I have picked up the sticks again and have started playing drums and writing music again. Thank you for this channel and what you do that is so amazing! You are an inspiration to myself and many others and your skills are undeniable! Could you possibly do a cover of “Fire” by Jimmy Hendrix? Until about 3 months ago, when El Estepario’s video of his one handed tactics arose to my attention. We’ll shortly there after i finally had seen a whole other level of drumming. He definitely sits alone at the top of my tier lists…. Then Neil and then Joey. This in my opinion is the top 5 ever: 1. El Estepario 2. Eloy C. 3. Neil P. 3. Joey J. 5. Travis B.

At 1:11 when you start riding on the bell, how TF are you gripping the stick between your middle finger and your ring finger? I get the ergonomic aspect (a little), but how do you keep the stick from flying out your hand? I've never seen any drummer play like this before and it's fascinating! Excellent jamming, friend!

Its very hard on your fingers but offers a lot for speed on the bell

Ikr and in the second chorus at 1:36 (and the following ones) he uses the standard grip. And the bleeding seems on the middle finger, so this might be caused by this grip at the beginning and the reason why he uses the common one after that. Usually bleeding on the palm side of the hand is caused by a blister, bleeding on the top of the hand means, you probably hit yourself

That dualist pedal is normal for him now, curious what the next level of crazy shit is going to be! Amazing drumming as always

Still the only person I've seen even attempt to adopt it or play with it in a "serious" manner. It's pretty interesting.

@@shemsuhor8763 I saw a guy in a drumming forum use one years ago but he was more of a percussionist. Back then there was a massive amount of holier than thou attitude with a lot of the old guard against anyone who had a dualist pedal because they unfairly perceived it as cheating which is ridiculous because it allows hihat grooves that isn't available conventionally. It was only a matter of time before something like what we're seeing here would happen and I absolutely adore it.

It is crazy how you hold the stick in your right hand between your index and middle finger. That had to create some serious blisters in the beginning like ouch bro. I am a guitarist at heart but had a pearl kit for a number of years and dabbled a little and remember blisters and blown out thumbnails so I can't even imagine between those two digits and playing that fast and intense. Simply amazing🙏🙏

@@paulainsile5016 if you go back through his videos you'll see he's been doing that for quite some time. I just can't wrap my head around how it doesn't tear up the web of his hand and how he manages to maintain any amount of control. It is simply amazing.

This man is the perfect depiction of that meme, where that cartooncat mascot dude went full Infant Annihilator on "Old McDonald had a Farm" in Japan. Everytime I see your videos, I just cannot comprehend how are you capable to put so many mindblowing intricacies in songs too that are fairly simple and chill and make it so effortlessly in the otherhand.
