I'm 5 years deep into this vanlife pushing the limits of logic and humility in my 05 Ford e250. I have made some cool upgrades every chance I could. I was going to buy one of those bumper stickers that says, "One less sprinter van" just to validate my not being able to stand up and pee as a 49 year old, 6 ft 1, borderline geezer. Matt and I should start a go fund us and see if we can get a good deal on a couple sprinters. 2017 ish Ford transit 2500 4x4 is my goal ❤ Peace and love travelers

After 5 years and lots of cool upgrades, I still get compliments from all walks of life. My van is a version of my soul, like art on wheels. I'd still appreciate other's interest even if I was in a horse and buggy. At this point, in my mind I'm thinking about how one day soon I shall stand up and pee or cook, or both perhaps 😂

Good decision on the hi-top. I contacted them awhile ago about putting one on my van. They told me the van had to be empty in order to do it. That kind of put a damper on it for me because I haven’t anywhere to put my stuff. 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for sharing your interior home with us. I like these types of videos best cuz you can learn or get tips & tricks from them. Personally, I would feel a little uneasy having all the butane and propane so close to the power stations & where you sleep - in case of a fire. Maybe store then separately?

I think if I used a tray that big and shallow, I'd spill food out of it. I tend to go with a big, deep bowl when on the road. But it's an interesting concept, and might work for people who have liquid-free food all the time. I think I have food with sauces or juices or something stew-like too often for it to work for me.

Good video. If I drink caffeine after 1300 I’m up until after midnight. I use to be able to drink coffee right up to go g to bed and fall asleep in under 5 minutes . Not so much as I’ve aged.

It's 5am. My day off. I slept in. Lol! Your van is just-right. I'm 5'4" so the ceiling really wouldn't be a hardship for someone my size. I've got a mid-size p/u w/ a 6' bed, gonna get a camper shell for it. Start getting my toes wet as I travel to AZ to see my dad. Everyone comes up with creative and practical uses for items like you did with that felt fabric on the walls. That's part of the fun of van-life!

I used to tow a trailer. Escape 19 fiberglass. I hated towing. Sold it and got myself a little van and converted it. I think you are making a really good decision.
