Don't care if it's pirated or not as long as they are in readable condition. As a book lover, i prefer the accuracy of the book's content. If the content is sabotaged or compromised, I shall talk to Flipkart/ Amazon's customer care then only. Also I'm always in a budget. Hence knowing that I will recieve a pirated version only, I ordered Harry Potter 's book set just at Rs 1400 from Amazon. If I get torned pages or missing pages between, i will raise my voice then only.

I think it doesn't matter if you are getting a cheap pirated book . Only content matters. I also buy books in low price even though I like to want a book with good quality . But it's ok if content is same.

Quite agree with you. If you're an extensive reader, it's quite easy to spot the differences in a pirated copy versus the original. A new book being sold at dirt cheap price? Always a red flag.

There’s a lockdown going on where I live and all bookshops are closed… ordering books from Amazon for flipkart just gives me so much anxiety that what if I bought a pirated copy

Another way to buy cheap books is to await sales in bookstores like Crosswords, Landmark, Sapna, Bargain Book Hut etc. They usually have sales a few times a year where they list original books from 30% to 70% discount. I have purchased several books like that in the last couple of years. That way, you get to buy original books from proper stores at really cheap and affordable rates.

Maybe pirated books are wrong to purchase the author didn't earn much if we purchase pirated but the thing is me as a student pov we didn't have that much of money so we can't purchase most of all orginal books so now we only had 2 option either buy the 2nd hand original books pr pirated but ... 2nd hand books are not in well condition sometimes and we can't persever them for long doesn't matter how much we care of that book so i prefer pirated because its budgetable and can preserve them much longer for re-read in future as well thank you if anyone not agree with me its ok its your pov and i had mine thank you for reading ❤️

Bruhhhhh...it hurtsss when you bought your first book for which you were craving for monthsss is pirated..I mean I bought It Ends with us, Ugly love and November 9 by Collen Hoover at just Rs.478 on Amazon...like yeahhh.. ofcourse I went for cheap and when I got that Ugly love and November 9 were in good condition..but It Ends with us's cover was not aligned correctly...I felt so bad that the book I wanted to read the most is not in good condition..although the pages were good..but they were see-through..and luckily there were no pages or paragraphs missing..and the publisher was quite famous But jo bhi ho..after I read the book..these things didn't mattered to me..like I loved the book soo much that..the cover didn't matter ❤️

Is there a difference between mass market paperbacks and pirated books? PS : My HP books are pirated(or atleast mass market).. I wish to replace them when I grow up and start earning.. although I might get emotionally attached to these particular ones and never replace them ever Also.. an unrelated question.
