Ik yesstyle and any Korean clothes is your main attraction but I really think you can find alternatives in the US clothing market that actually will fit and will look flattering on you. You might have to do some alteration but it’ll just look and make you feel better. I do feel like when you buy Korean clothes, you’re mindset is, I can work around to fit the clothes instead of the clothes fit me as i am. Which kind of defeats the purpose of your journey to loving your body.

As a stylist id love to work with a client like Fei who has a large budget to find K-style dupes bc her taste is cool but it kinda hurts me to watch her go back to brands that dont make her love her body. It feels like self harm sometimes.

Girl I'm skinny but K-style clothes don't look the same / as good as on the models as on me too. This is because the pictures are usually photoshoped or clothes are tailored to the models (they literally clip clothes in the back to make look more fitted).

If only you could find clothes you like that come in more sizes. They have to exist somewhere in the world (or if they don't maybe you could design them). I kind of doubt that place will be YesStyle, though I understand everyone has bills to pay and they offer sponsors. I wish there didn't seem to be such a tradeoff between innovative, unique styles and extreme fast fashion turnover. Like, some of these pieces aren't even available any more and I doubt they manufacture big enough batches to restock a lot of these pieces. They just immediately move onto the next design, so they can have continual turnover. These clothes don't seem to be made with anything besides looks and profit in mind. Sorry this turned kind of negative; I'm not bashing anyone who buys the clothes. I just get really frustrated seeing a bunch of things not fitting well because they aren't designed to. I disagree with this throw-away, noninclusive business model that appears to have zero respect for the customer except catering to a demand for one-of-a-kind blink or you missed it pieces. I don't know, man. Just, good luck to everyone trying to find clothes out there. It can be frustrating, but don't let it bring you down. ❤ All we can do as consumers is try to find and support brands (maybe smaller ones) who will cater to our needs and tastes. Or, if you have the time and inclination, learn to make or alter your own clothes.

Ever since I was a bridesmaid in my 20s and was a size 12 but guided to the 18-20s (first of all, WTF), I decided sizes mean NOTHING. I found with fast fashion, carefully reading the measurements was the way to go, and if it ended up being a “5XL” then whatever, at least it would get around the girls and I could still breathe (which it turns out, I really enjoy breathing). Knowing your measurements is definitely the only way to order clothes off the internet.
