When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from *jklux* on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

Thanks for the video. I will say that fakes have been around for yeaaarrrrssss. I think it’s just brought to light now because of social media. I’ve seen LV and Chanel fakes and know how to get them if I wanted (Asian community) since like the 1990s. So it’s nothing new at all. If it seems a lot maybe people are just more aware with educational videos on authentic vs fake versus before. I wouldn’t let fakes and replicas change my mind on purchasing a bag or not. If I like it, I will buy it. And the fakes are never the same as the real ones. If people can’t afford it and are happy with *jklux* to each their own. My favorite bag is the classic flap. OMG, mine (authentic) has a weird smell inside too! I don't know what it is because none of my other *hotdups* bags have any smell. Called LV and they said it is normal and I can wipe the inside with a damp cloth. I thought the lining was suede but it's actually microfiber so I'm going to look up ways to get rid of the microfiber odor because the smell is keeping me from using it regularly.

Also, as a plus-size woman, I do benefit from some clothing being copied, because there are very few brands that sell plus-size clothing that represent the styles I actually want to wear. I don't think it's a problem as long as the brand disappears or elements are changed to make it clearly different. When I Was first "getting into" luxury handbags, I purposely bought a *jklux* . I wasn't trying to show off, or brag, or pass it off as the real thing, I just wanted to see if it would fit what I wanted it to and how it would live with me (without the SA staring at you) before I shelled out the money for the real thing. As it turns out, it wasn't for me. Saved myself a good chunk of change and time returning it.

I definitely Loved the video it’s really good!!! I have to say imo, I understand why people say they wouldn’t care about people buying dupes or fakes or why should people care. BUT, It’s not that necessarily people “care” about people having *hotdups* , it’s the fact that people that have money to buy into luxury and invest it’s for a reason. Quality, quantity, and yes buying luxury as exclusivities. Because if I have the money, enjoy fashion, and the house brand etc.

I work in the medical field. I was stressed so I bought a designer bag and carried my authenticity card in case someone said my bag was fake. Turns out nobody cares...nobody! The other day I complimented a co-worker of mine on a bag and she surprised me by telling me it was a knockoff. Because the workmanship of her bag is not inferior to my genuine bag. I bought an LV bag *condup* years ago. Last week I took it to the LV store in my town to have it repaired. The clerk checked my bag and immediately told me that it was of great quality. She pulled a current bag from stock and compared the tags and I could see no discrepancies.

I have less than twenty bags and only half of them are luxury items. However, I rarely use luxury items and use my *hotdups* every day because it is cheap and functional. I realize that higher prices and beauty do not really equate to ease and practicality. Luxury items are more for occasional use, but then again, I doubt that the number of times I have used luxury bags so far is worth the money I spent.

Sometimes the items are just very very good knockoffs. And, sometimes authentic items end up at a thrift store because a scorned paramour gathered up what they bought for a significant other, donating them out of spite. Or, beneficiaries don’t realize what their loved one had and are in such a hurry to clear a property they’re selling. Which begets the other option to thrifting high end or desirable vintage items - estate sales.
