During the Kurukshetra war Ashwatthama is cursed by lord Krishna to attain immortality and witness humanity during Kalyug.His redemption can occur by protecting mother of Kalki the last reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. Six thousand years later in the futuristic world deserted city of Kasi is ruled by an evil Yaskin.His complex is run by Commander Manas whose team is working on Project K for Yaskin.They capture fertile women and their serum is used to increase life of Yaskin but hardly any female survive beyond 120 days of fertility.Sum 80 (Sumati) suppresses 150 days and is about to meet the same faith as others.But manages to elope with help of few rebels,Ashwatthama realizes that Sumati is the woman he is there to protect and comes to her aid.Yaskin and Manas are desperate to find Sumati but Ashwatthama stands between them. A confusion arises when Bhairav comes to save Sumati where he and Ashwatthama clash mistaken themselves as either to be enemy of Sumati”

The reason why they choose kashi as last city because kashi is considered as the first city in the world and in puranas(ancient text) lord shiva declared that even if the world comes to an end, kashi will be remained without getting destroyed in earth

That was ashwathama btw not a god. He did the greatest sin in the kurushetra war, of killing an unborn child with the Brahmastra. That's why he got cursed. And that gem is called "Syron Rathna" He was born with it. It protects him from ageing, hunger,fatigue, thirst, weapons,deceases,deities.

1:13 the lady in white saare was the Uttara, she is the daughter in law of the great warrior price Shree Arjuna, Uttara's womb was hit by the divine weapon Bhrahmastra released by the Ashwathama (younger version of Mr. AB and Some scenes are from the epic Mahabharata battle shown here ❤) to destroy the fetus in the womb, after this great sin, Lord Shree Krishna cursed Ashwathama with immortality and took out the stone from his forehead with the never healing wound.

​​He hit that pregnant women because she was carrying son of Abhimanyu who was Son of Arjuna as Abhimanyu was already killed in the battle so to kill the last heir of Pandavas and since Ashwathama was their enemy he killed that unborn baby so that there would be no existence of Pandavas and their other kids (which were also already killed by Ashwathama when they were sleeping at night time which is illegal in a battle) hope u understood ​@@heyjane14

The slow pacing I think was in the first part even when I rewatched it I skipped most of the first half but the second half or as soon as sumathi got pregnant it got very fast

Hey jane, i have already watched this movie and there are liking and disliking for this film.. According to the liking, the most liked goosebump parts were when the movie get connected to mahabharatha parts because i know how strong the characters in mahabharatha btw i strongly suggest you to read or watch mahabharatha because it's a story that includes all type of emotions & strategies that we need to survive in our modern days.. There are lot of advice that krishna gives to arjun which is really insightful and useful that change our perspective towards life.. If you're confused in life all you need is bhagavadgita, then you can sort out whatever things in life. The disliking parts were the modern parts because of the lag but i understand it's all for the character development and i can guarantee the second part will be a treat for all who is waiting for it

Do not take seriously about karna what's mentioned in movie. Because in the book it's other around. Karna was very good warrior but not best or as good as Arjuna and even ashwatthama. Who is reborn as bhairav in this movie. This particular part where where it's shown as Karna was greatest warrior on the battlefield of Mahabharata is lie. Yes it's very good movie according to entertainment.
