The mask and the hood really perfectly complete and sell the look! The hood makes the character instantly recognizable, and the mask completes and sells the punk vibes!

Sorry to comment on a video almost two years old now but I want to thank you for getting me back into cosplay. Your shorts would pop up on Instagram and now youtube and I would see your progress a lot and finally getting to see the finished pieces really made me jump back into it again. HOWEVER the reason why I'm commenting on this video that's so old is because I really like your striped tee and wanted to know where it was from LOL

I love it so much!! I especially love the way the mask surprisingly ties the whole thing together. Also yes to Everything Everywhere All At Once - the most bats**t crazy movie to ever make me sob and feel so many things.

Right?? It really brings the WHOLE look together! And god, agreed, I loved that movie so much, I was DELIGHTED by how much cosplay there was at dragoncon, it made my heart SO happy

I never expected to cry to a cosplay video. I am one of those who loves to give their all to a cosplay/ task/ job/ etc. and when you said "Don't let a Dollar Store hamper overshadow the literal pair of pants you made!!!!" I felt that!!! Thank you, Lizard!!! For your all of your perfections and transparencies!!

The part at the beginning about striking details is true! I went to a convention recently, and I didn't even notice a Galacta Knight cosplay until I saw the wings and the sparkly pink

the amount of love and time you pour into your cosplay as well as the videos you make is absolutely insane. I hope to one day reach your level of skill and creativity and polished professional looking elements that still feel handmade and personal. I'm looking forward to your future projects and I hope you are having a good day! 💙❤️💙

Welp, I've run through your entire backlog; your videos are so great for both focusing on and as background, it's wild. In exciting news, your discussions around get it done, but also the slow way is the quick way, helped me get some good traction on a capelet I'm making. I kept floundering on the next steps and by allowing myself to think ahead just enough for the immediate decisions, without needing to make all the future decisions, I at least have it to a stage its seams are overlocked, it's partially constructed but mostly pinned and it's hanging on the dress form ready for my angst on trims. Huzzah. I initially started watching for the lavender town witch, because shift that colour code to pink and that's essentially what I'm working towards my daily wardrobe to be. But your insights on craft, storage, and more has felt like what my brain needed at the moment. ^_^ So many thanks and kudos on all these wonderful builds.

Oh man, I've wanted to ask if you'd do a craft-room tour video but have resisted so far (I'm honestly trying to watch through all your videos first to make sure one doesn't already exist before asking...) BUT the shots of you putting the pins and pattern weights away in those drawers?! OMG PLEASE do a sewing room tour video!! I'm going to be setting one up in my future home and the organization of yours is the standard I want to follow o.O
@HeyLizardLeigh2 жыл бұрын
oh my gosh, thank you so much!!! it's actually honestly a really good thing you commented this, because I've been meaning to do a studio tour for ages. i actually filmed the WHOLE process of putting together this room, and i've been sitting on all that footage for well over a year by now. i've just got to make the time and edit it all!! 💜

I have loved watching this project unfold SO MUCH!! The final look is genuinely fantastic (to repeat a previous comment, the vibes are immaculate) I love what you did with the sleeves to get the look of having red skin without going to the effort of using body paint, and it matches the hood so well!! Also have to give mad respect to the face mask pattern matching. 10/10. Huge congrats of getting Flick 2.0 finished!!!! 🍃🐞

Congrats on a job very well done (both the cosplay and the video production!!), and thank you for sharing your journey with us! The nugget of wisdom at the end was especially helpful to hear as well. ❤️ Unrelated question: which farm did you pick in Stardew Valley? I'm a Beach Farmer ⛱️👩🌾

So I really would like to be someone who uses scraps/reused pieces for cosplays, but I just don't have enough to *not* buy new material when I need it. When did you get to the point when you could make pieces out of mostly stashed/reused materials?
@HeyLizardLeigh2 жыл бұрын
that’s a great question, and man it’s kinda hard to say since it’s such a gradual process! it definitely started with smaller things like thread, and slowly grew into reusing bigger materials. also it definitely helped that my first few years sewing I kept an active eye out for whenever people were getting rid of materials I could use later, like curtains or fabric from theater productions. I also, if I really LIKE a fabric and it isn’t breaking the bank, try to err on the side of over-buying so I have extra in case of mistakes or future plans!
