Part 6 of my 55-day thru hike of the Heysen Trail in South Australia, the longest walking trail in the country. This section saw me leaving the Mid North region and heading into the Adelaide Hills.
The rain continued on and off in this section; with the end of this video showing the first of a 4-5 day stretch off consistent rain that left parts of the trail flooded. Daniel, Jonathan and I were reunited again at Rossiters Hut and we continued to mostly hike and camp together throughout this section.
There were a lot more walking trails once we hit the Adelaide Hills which was a nice change from the road walking. However, our tired legs had to contend with some of the toughest hill climbs of the whole trail. We also hit the 900km milestone just before Bridgewater!
Stay tuned for part 7, the final video of my Heysen Trail adventure.
