Idk I think it’s an idealization more than anything. When my dad was in Japan for the military people there according to him would brag or idealize intelligence. Like being smart was cool. Growing up, some communities teach kids to idealize particular groups or people conflated with violence. Like a rapper who brags about killing people. I don’t dislike the songs obviously. But it’s just a pattern.
