Holy F woman - I can’t thank you enough for doing this yourself on video. I go to a salon to have my hair kept short, it’s very thick & grows way too fast & I can’t afford a pro cut every month anymore.I have MS & bad spasticity in my hands, can’t dry & style anymore so I’ve been dying to do this myself for years, didn’t think I’d be able to. I love you right now! 💕 Watched your video a couple times, bought cordless clippers & a set of extra-long guards (just in case I turned into a chicken). I’m not the kind of person that gives much of a F what anyone thinks, so that’s a +. Some really loud tunes & a couple tequila sunrises (or 3) later, I AM LOVING IT SOOO FREAKING MUCH!!! I was scared to start, but once I did it was the most freeing feeling…I started out on the longer side, but found myself going shorter & loving it more the shorter I went. Eeeeeeeee! Thanks, a billion times over!!

If you want to see the back of your hair while you cut, use a wall mirror on one side, (I have) a mirror that clamps to my counter edge and can be moved around on the left and a mirror in front. I can see all sides of my head while I cut.

I have done this self cut multiple times. The problem Is my hair is on the thinner side on top, so I end up only being able to hand clip the top which works out okay.❤ It really makes a big difference If your hair Is Thin(light weight)or Thicker. I wet my hair to give it more weight so the hair would clip much better. It saves a ton of money

She did an absolutely fantastic job of cutting her own hair. It's a bit more challenging than doing someone else's hair, because trying to visualize doing it in the mirror is much more challenging than it looks. I used to cut my own hair exactly like she is doing, except I used a number 1 guard on the back, and sides, and a number 3 on top... Then I started switching over to a number 3 and doing my entire head to that length... The only thing I could not see to do a really good job with was my neck line when it came to cleaning it all up, and boxing it in properly. Now days my Girl Friend's Sister cuts my hair for me since she is a professional Stylist.
@tonyabomia72173 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin! How are you? Hope you're doing okay. The neckline is the same problem I have when I cut my hair.
@kevinswinyer31763 жыл бұрын
Hi Tonia, I am a bit better off than I was the last time we chatted. I am now staying in a shelter at night, and we are served a nice hot meal soon after coming into the shelter in the early evenings... Everyone is out on their own by 8 am each morning, and as long as they follow certain rules, they are allowed to return at 5 pm each evening and after everyone is fed a nice hot meal, we can either watch TV, or sit at our bunk until the staff turns out the lights at 10 pm. Once the lights are turned out, the only reason anyone can leave their bunk is to use the rest room or in the event of a major emergency... No one is allowed to leave their bunk and just walk around because it's a men's homeless shelter based in the basement of a Church, so there are bunks scattered all over the basement, and most of them cannot be seen without the lights on. It beats trying to sleep in my vehicle, and having to run the engine most of the night to have enough heat to stay warm, and it beats the possibility of Criminals trying to break into the vehicle to steal any money or electronics, etc to use to purchase illegal drugs.
@tonyabomia72173 жыл бұрын
@@kevinswinyer3176 I'm glad that you're not sleeping in your vehicle anymore. That you're staying warm and you get hot meals. Stay safe. Sleep with one eye open if you have to. I hope things turn around soon.
@kevinswinyer31763 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tonia... After receiving 2 verbal death threats against me, I decided it was time to seek a men's homeless shelter, and even though I don't really know anyone that is also staying in the shelter, they have all pitched in, and they make sure that everyone stays safe, and the staff also help us all out by giving us all free clothes, and hand warmers, and toiletry items that we all need on a daily basis such as soap, shampoo, toothbrush, & tooth paste, etc.
