I think the game is designed for your colony to either focus on economy, military or social/political, whilst you tried to do everything at once, which spread yourself to thin.

No it isn't. I've played the game on its demo a year ago and returned to it recently because of early access release. I have to say, the game was NEVER designed for you to choose a single focus on what aspect of governance you are in favor of pursuing. In fact, the game is incredibly buggy that you'll be forced to do choices just to mitigate any unwanted outcomes. It has been like this for a year and I'm disappointed the devs haven't even fixed these issues despite being well-known and reported frequently in the community.

Do they have a cathaharis like in rimworld after a breakdown. So, do they collect themself or is is a downwards spiral you can only solve by fresh blood? P.S: I also blame the rutabegas, your lords had nothing else to eat for a while.
