As a Bangladeshi I actually feel very very proud of Bongovongo (partition of Bengal).... Although I shouldn't make any such comment here... It is an Indian channel and you are practicing your narrative which even I partially agree with.... But I disagree with it to a lot of extent... Bongovongo was a proud outcome of the rebellion of Muslims of East Bengal.... It was the event that for the first time laid the foundation of my country Bangladesh.... And we respect this remarkable contribution of Mr Curzon which is why you can still find one of the signature marks of Dhaka named after him- The Curzon hall.... I know, Bongovongo created a huge problem for the West Bengal- especially it brought forth a severe threat on its cultural indegenuity which we call Bangaliyana... There was no reason for merging non Bengalis with West Bengal.... They could easily let Kolkata remain as the capital of West Bengal solely... but it was their bad intention of weakening Indian nationalism... But whatever happens this event laid the foundation of Bangladesh and where you respect Bangladesh as an independent country you should show the bright sides of it as well. Very good presentation and research... But more broad minded research is preferred....
@abhishekjha1401
@abhishekjha1401 2 жыл бұрын
Idea of bangladesh was only after when India liberated Bangladesh from ""ËAST PAKISTAN"" in 1971. Bangladesh as an independent country never existed at the first place.
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392 2 жыл бұрын
@@abhishekjha1401 Brother, India did not liberated us, it was our war our struggle for liberation and India helped us a lot.... And I did not claimed the idea of Bangladesh as a time old political concept, I claimed that what we are today was partially seen during the Bongovongo and it surely had a lot of bright sides. Be enlightened....
@abhishekjha1401
@abhishekjha1401 2 жыл бұрын
@@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392 how can partition have bright side??? where thousands of people were killed be it Muslims or hindus??? whatever the history might be .. we both know neither history in Bangladesh is very much unaltered and factually correct nor in India. but have to come at a concluding point that unified bangla was more glorious than two separated states based on RELIGION. we both know what is condition of Pakistan today which was created on the grounds of hatred and religious theocracy.
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392 2 жыл бұрын
@@abhishekjha1401 I did not say Partition is completely glorious, it had evil in it, surely, but the brighter side partition had in it was of a purely East Bengali concept. Partition gave East Bengal a freedom from deprivations and exlpoitations of the West Bengali rule, on the basis of religious and cultural identity. You claimed united Bengal as glorious, but I prefer to disagree because the cultural prosperity that Calcutta had was dominated by persons of a particular religion- Hindus. This went on to an extent of discrimination and exploitation. You read 19th Century literatures of Bengali writers, if 70% of them are Hindus, 80% of their characters were Hindus as well. Their literature represents Muslims of East Bengal as a tiny minority while we were the majoirty population of United Bengal. How can you call such a era glorious without admitting the faults in it? I have never claimed partition completely glorious, there was evil inside it, but partition gave the Muslims of East Bengal a relief from 200 years of exploitations from the Babus of Kolkata who were looting poor Muslim peasants of East Bengal in the name of Zamindari and from every angle. Partition gave relief from it and it was the outcome of a systematic revolution starting from Bongovongo ending in the establieshment of Pakistan and becoming successful in 1971. East or West, Bengal is yet not that much culturally prosperous as it was during the time of renaissance but obviously this separate existence, this freedom of growing at our own will, in accordance with our own culture,, is far far better that that onesided renaissance confined only within Kolkata. BTW, whatever the situation Pakistan is in, is not because they follow religion of Islam but because they actually don't follow Islam. They are the disgrace in the name of Islam and that is also a reason why we got separated from them. The problem was not with a separate state on the basis of Islam, rather the problem was in the mindset of Pakistanis who were deprived of political knowledge with a mind full of arrogance.
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392
@mohammadisfartehamisarker6392 2 жыл бұрын
@@abhishekjha1401 And Pakistan was created by the people of East Bengal mainly, not on the basis of hatred rather on the basis of the urge to be free from the fear of being cornered, being deprived, being descrimintated. And Islamic theocracy is not evil rather it is an excellent form of government(consider the example of the Medina government under our prophet PBUH), rather, theocracy in the name of wrong interpretation of Islam is an evil (take the example of Taliban). So please be careful of choosing word, I think your intention has an incliation towards insulting Islam, my religion. Because if it is in fact, then I don't want to talk with you...
