Great turnout! The right triangle wooden frame based on the wall gives the illusion that there’s a stairway. The window panel filled with wall paper gives the bed a sophistication appearance with no excuses but admiration of colorful enjoyment and something to talk about. This video was a quick one but I enjoyed during a little moments of my tiny break. Thanks!

We have an entire subdivion of these homes. Ours were constructed 1948-1950. Later models had the upstairs. All have basemnts.

Hmm they bought this house for $27,000, Put $35,000 into it, Which is $62,000. And SOLD it for $99,900. Which means they made a $37,900 Profit without a Bathroom upstairs. Imagine That!

LOVE their work but you have to consider practicality... there are no upper cabinets in kitchen. Not sure there was even a closet in upstairs master. Storage is an issue....

I used to think they didn't make much profit but judging by the home values over in Detroit compared to my city(Los Angeles) theybactually make decent profit. Like a 30%-40% profit which is insane, plus they are rebuilding neighborhoods that were forgotten. Wish someone would do that here in my block.

Detroit. I know. I know. Not where you would want to live, but cheap houses are going to be in cheap areas. You're not going to find a $1,000 move in ready house done to your exact specification right on the beach in California!

Many cities sell old homes of to developers who are contractually obligated to renovate. Many countries like Italy or Germany even sell houses for one euro to renovate them.

Please consider traveling to the Luna Park historic district of Charleston WV. The Luna Park historic district was a amusement park with roller coasters and swimming pool between 1900-1920. It suffered a fire and dissipated. After the lot sites distributed into 440 residential beautiful craftsmanship structures. The Luna Park historic district was national recognized a decade ago. Because of the existing structures that are vacant the Mayor & planning department have adopted a budget to demolish these vacant structures. The land bank is not available to purchase these properties. The Luna Park historic district is in disarray. The lack of guidance resources to maintain this historic district is in need. Charleston WV over site. There is no outside government official to ask why is the land bank not available to purchase any of these properties that the city of Charleston has obtained. Investors would like to purchase these properties however the land bank does not allow a conversation to purchase these properties in a historic district.

@angelabacker1177 This team rarely move plumbing around or do extensions. They spend on renovations (in this case about $35k) to match local property values ($ per square foot). They would lose money if they over-capitalized. But in every case they are transforming run-down, unlivable properties into a safe, first home option for younger buyers.

I love the fellas, love the show, love the creativity. BUT, please guys, no open shelving in the kitchen, grease flies. And, please stage the bathrooms with everyday items like blow dryers, shavers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, towel racks with towels, etc.

This show makes no sense houses are so old electric,plumbing,roof problems alone will put them over budget but they always home in on Budget.

I don't think so. If you notice they don't ever use high end finishes or materials. I'm sure they spend a huge portion of the budget on the not so fun stuff like electrical and plumbing and then with whatever they have left, they use a cohesive design to sort of mask the fact that they're not putting in quartz and fancy backsplash or adding bathroom.
