Another great reno, and it's always a treat to see what Ben's made for the owners. I'm glad they decided to save the mantel/surround for potential reuse. But it makes me cringe to see what looked like pretty nice kitchen cabinets trashed during demo, especially by Ben and Erin, who are pretty thoughtful about what they do. I realize "time is money", but those cabinets might have been used for another project, like things Ben makes in his shop (big points to Ben for reusing the deck lumber for the chairs!), or donated to something like a Habitat ReUse store. It pains me to think of reusable stuff winding up in a landfill.
