2000 SQ ft is petite??!! I am raising 4 teenagers in under 900 SQ feet. 2000 would feel like a mansion!
@DawnRK3204Ай бұрын
Seriously. I’m so tired of these videos talking about small homes. We raised 3 sons in an 1,100 sq fit house with one bathroom. It’s the only house I’ve lived in since getting married. Skipping the video.

Good gosh. 2000 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathroom (obviously with some land) is not petite. Just started watching the clip and find the house very cute from the front. This is bigger than my 1400 square foot home and I have housed many. Daisy must sleep the entire time she is at work. It doesn't look like she has access to the yard at all and there would need to be an enclosed area so she can't run off. I really do like the mud room with all the storage and a place for Daisy to sleep. The kitchen is just wonderful!

2,000 sq is PETITE?!?!
@amandachilds5290Ай бұрын
In the South it was for a very long time with low cost of living and low price per sq. ft. Until about last ten years but Mississippi hasn't had the influx of people like GA, FL, TN, TX and SCar So it's still got mid size houses with low roofs, petite, and decent yards for reasonable prices compared to most of USA. THAT'S what is going on in this video...
@revamelton-lw8wpАй бұрын
@@amandachilds5290You are correct. I’m 66 and spent my entire life in SC. We are overrun with a huge influx of people from non-Southern states. Dramatically different housing market.

I wouldn't use the pull out dog food. For one thing, the dog uses it 24/7, so it would never close. Also, it would spill inside the cabinet. It's impractical for me. To each his own.
@mikeboothe15 күн бұрын
I like the pull out dog food feature. It’s against the wall so it’s fine to be left open then can be closed when company’s coming or you need the room.

2,000 sq ft for one person? That’s enormous. My friend and her husband lived (happily) in 90 sq ft. Now that is small.
@dako6082Ай бұрын
You're sure about the 90sq ft. ? That only fits a bed and a dresser, it's the size of a midsized bathroom. I can't believe 1 person can live in 90sq ft. (With bathroom included) let alone 2🤨.❤

I live in Vancouver BC and I’m privileged to live in 950 sq ft condo with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, that is considered luxury here. I couldn’t imagine living in 2000 sq ft for just myself. The last house I owned in Winnipeg MB before I moved here was 1500 sq ft and that seemed huge to me. The very first house I purchased was 1000 sq ft which was great after moving from a small apartment. I guess everyone has different perceptions on how much space they need.

2000 sq.ft is huge in my book. I've lived as a single for years & my biggest house was around 1900 sq ft, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths & was more than I needed. It was in TX. I live in 1275 sq ft now & it's too much! I'm looking at a 675 sq ft condo now!!! Smaller is better!!!

I wonder, if the furniture is for staging or does it belong to the homeowner? It seems so old fashioned for a young single woman like her? Otherwise, the remodel was super nicely done
@kitty_s23456Ай бұрын
Most of the furniture used in HGTV shows like this are from staging companies. The homeowner receives the renovated house bare/ almost bare, unless the designer (Erin or other couples) uses the client's own furniture or artwork/ paintings. The client has the option to buy the furniture, if they wish. I've heard that the "special pieces" that Ben makes is not free but for sale.
@sheilaenglish973823 күн бұрын
@@kitty_s23456Really? I would have thought the pieces Ben made would be free.
@kitty_s2345623 күн бұрын
@sheilaenglish9738 I also thought they were free but another poster said otherwise. Another one also said that Erin was a b*tch when offcam. (Sometimes I don't like her design choices but most times, I do.) So it's up to you what to believe, I guess.
