I used a metallic green Gundam marker for the visor. Looks worlds better than the foil sticker and I'm glad it wasn't moulded into the head.

When you think about it, then it makes sense that the head doesn't turn all the way around since the Vulcan guns will shoot the 240mm cannons. It also makes sense as to why the torso can rotate 360 degrees, like a turret.

I do agree that trying to punch a mobile suit with a mobile suit usually isn't that effective compared to something as simple as a Ginn's heavy sword, but I don't think that this Guncannon's teloscopic barrels have anything to do with recoil. I am not a ballistics expert but my presumption is that the recoil is where the firing takes place, and the front of the barrel is not that place. So I think they collapse for storage or to get out of the main camera's lines of sight.

Actually the cannons retract to fold into the backpack for ease of storage. According to the specs, the vents on the backpack are what soften the recoil. No different than the backblast of a bazooka or recoiless rifle. There's a thruster on the backskirt which can also help with the recoil. Artillery with a pneumatic actuator is not enough to handle the recoil, so the weapon is usually equipped with a ground spade to stabilize it.

@@TheKing-qz9wd The RX-77D Mass Production Guncannon did not have the Core-Block Fighter system of the original Guncannon, and therefore had more room for better venting and the torso could rotate for better firing arcs. The armor was made from a titanium/ceramic composite that made it lighter and cheaper to produce without sacrificing its defensive capabilities. It didn't have the grenades but some say that a few units were equipped with a Heat Knife for close-quarters. It wasn't until the RGC-83 GM Cannon II that they were upgraded to Beam Cannons and had a Beam Saber. Personally I like the Rx-77D Mass Production.

@@TheKing-qz9wd Another thing to note is that due to its lighter weight, with a bit of assist from its backpack, foot boosters and rear skirt thruster, it can actually jump higher than the original Guncannon and evade faster on the ground.

Pretty decent kit but they seriously should of gave it a visor in fact the HGUC White Dino team custom version was retooled to have one

I'm thinking of using the head the shoulder pads and, if possible, the cannons on my own Gunpla. Wich I intend to also use parts from a Kampfer and a prototype Guncannon.

The head part looks the head from patlabor anime

If I’m not mistaken, they had the same mecha designer working on their team, it’s why the shoulders also have those hole elements similar to the Patlabor

Thanks for the review! I actually dont mind with its minimal movements and stickers..just the visor :( i want it to be clear plastic

the shoulder movement if its forward and back that will make people mad maybe but if that doesn't move out of the way to move the arms out thats fine because its common because some kits are like that exept sometimes it is on a ball joint instead
