I met Jayaptaka's mom and dad at their home in Chicago way back in the late 70's when his mom left home to go join the LA temple community. I was sent there by the temple with a couple other brahmacaries to help his mom move her stuff out into a moving van.

I didn't know that. How was his father towards you and the other brahmacharis? How was his mother? I know His Holiness Jayapataka Swami had mentioned before that when he joined the temple, his father was not so favourable but coming to the end, he accepted him. How were his parents?
