Owned blue one from new in 1997 I think, anyone know if it’s Titanium case, as seen one for sale. I’m not sure as wasn’t told it was Ti, and nothing in the manual about it.

I had one of these for years and years. After a few years though the dials discolour. I also have a similar aged Analog Aqualand which was a much more expensive model at the time, and the full lume dial on that is still very bright.

hey man, i just got given one of these watches, had a new battery fitted and pressure tested down to 200m and its all dandy however i can't put a date on when this was made, some forums suggest 1970-1979 where as the watch repair guy i spoke to said it was made in the 1990s however i think he has confused this watch for the 3740-E70006 so therefore i am confused.

personally it looks to me to be around 89-96 as in 1976 is when the stop using parawater and coined the phrase water resistant.

+Craziestbanana the Promaster line was started in the 80's, so late 80's to mid 90's for this generation is my guess, the originals were more ani digi, and these were the more traditional response to them.

Of course! With some basic tools it would be easy enough to change. You would want to change the gaskets on a watch this old to ensure watertightness, but if you just want to do a battery change that’d be easy.

Thanks Yankee Rider, thanks a lot ! I didn't even hope at 100% to get an answer, 6 years later ;-) ! Somebody told me that the battery change should be done under a vacuum because of the depth sensor, I didn't believe 100% to this, so I decided to ask a question, and I found your wonderful video ! It is really amazing ! I have exactly the same watch, friend of mine gave it to me, battery is down, so I was wondering if I could do it myself (as usually ;-) ) ... BTW, concerning the gasket - where should I find it from - any idea ? Thank you once more, you gave me Light ! Orline

I have the Same watch with a black dial eco drive version . My daily beater no issues . Has to be exposed to light I store it for a couple of months the battery died. You got a bargain mate . Congrats.
