if the throat at15:15 was reacted to, shouldn't the hook at 27:57 have been as well, and much more easily, at that?

You can see Khroen going back and forth trying to dodge the hook he is anticipating coming, sadly he actually jukes INTO the hook. Specifically the thing you look for is constraint in movement, so as soon as he is forced to walk along the wall he dodges backwards thinking that is the ideal time to hook him, since his movement is predictable, but Stitches anticipates this and hooks the dodge instead. Dodging a skillshot is a bit different then dodging a point and click ability with an i-frame, in one case you just need to hit a button, in the other you need to reposition your hitbox with mouse movement. There are always mind games in high level play with skill shots. Bear in mind this was also a LAN event, hosted on a local server Blizzard set up, so this was 5 ping or less, so interactions like this actually happened a lot more then in an average match that was online with variable ping for players.

@@CavalierguestNSH Thanks for the detailed explanation, I think I understand what you are saying. I don't think I said it clearly, my question is why doesn't Valla Vault out of the hook trajectory earlier, if he can see it coming in a straight line (hook's missile speed is 20 and throat's is 50.5 according to the wiki)? So I'm not asking about repositioning Valla's hitbox with mouse movement, but the dash.
