Helenye, you look very young yourself, I wouldn't have guessed you above 35yo. I'm so impressed how proud you are of your age. This program is very educational. girls who are in their twenties also lie about their age in our country. i remember once I went to ethiopian airlines to interview for a cabin crew/hostess job and while all of us women had to go thru an extensive screening for age eligibility, this girl i friended forgot where we were at and said she's 19yo. minimum age to apply was 21yo lol. Obviously, most girls learn about lying about their age at a very young age from their moms or older relatives and feel ashamed of their true age no matter how old they are. Helen's mom is an example when she said she was always 28yo haha

Dear Kedy, I watched your very informative interview on the KZbin program regarding activities women can do after their children leave home for college. I was impressed with your plan about supporting the children of Ethiopian veterans. I felt your ideas on this matter are noble, timely, and much needed because no one is currently helping these veterans' children in Ethiopia.

Thank you very much for the insight and inspiration lessons both your guest gave us Helen. Keep up the great job! Love you Kedist and mostly I am proud of you
Thank you for these valuable suggestions, unfortunately there is no where to go in case of Ethiopia. Especially, the woman who gave whole her life to the marriage/family but once upon a time she finds herself no one is around her to share her pain/disappointment and goes with her in her new life path.

How do you find honest friends and build that support system? As you get older it’s not easy to make friends in the same journey.

Helu, I like the topic ,but u only focused on women who are married and has kids. Instead, have a lot of issues n the socity put a lot of pressure on older women who never married n have no kids. Guess u should try to talk about all older women who r in diffrent situations.Just saying. No offence.

I’m 46 and I’ve been told I look in my early 30s.. well, it could be my lifestyle : I’m not married, no kids which is pretty much unthinkable within our community. Each time i go back to Ethiopia i proudly say my age and the horror I see when I see people’s face is laughable and disheartening at the same time. They are horrified that I’m single and that I proudly say my age !!! And my hair is still long and curly , grays in between ..
@mahletgg3 жыл бұрын
Hahaa you made me laugh. Soooooo true. That’s exactly how they feel too when I tell them my age & that I am not married nor have kids. They can’t understand the concept. Unfortunately, many women think they have to fit in this cookie cutter that society has set out for them. I sometimes see women looking at me with a pity. If they only knew 🤣🤣 how liberated we feel. Anyway, wish they knew, that not all of us want to take that route. We are happy where we are.... with our age, our purpose in life, our childless & unmarried selves. Will be turning 46 this year so we are pretty much the same
@onelove24383 жыл бұрын
We are almost the same age , I am 44. How do you keep yourself young ? Are you fit?
@mahletgg3 жыл бұрын
@@onelove2438 definitely work out, watch what you eat, but most of all, be joyful in everything. Happiness is the fountain of youth, enjoy life, do the things you love. For me, I love traveling so I work hard and then travel to enjoy the blessings God has giving me. Be joyful
I do believe that you should tell your children that they are beautiful. This gives them more confidence. They have to believe in their beauty inside and outside! I keep telling my son he is a handsome intelligent guy. I keep encouraging him to believe in himself. What is beauty after all? How do you define it? God made everyone of us so beautiful we do have to learn to love ourselves and stop comparing us with others

Yes you guys factual but I need to show you as some point of view as per my experience... we have 4 kids two boys and girls my husband believe to say for our daughters always says queen and telling them also my beautiful, but this helps for the girls through there life comes anybody like a friends or boyfriend comes to say you are beautiful....she is not surprise and concisions because she knows that she is always perceive about how beautiful she is so what is next and she will expect the next thing that he should observe... also gives confident to show her hidden talent to the community and school
