HHS Children and Youth Resilience Challenge Finalist: Building Resilience in Louisville Youth

The Bounce Coalition supported the YMCA of Greater Louisville by providing
social-emotional learning programming and resilience-building trainings directly to youth and families in their School-Age Child Care (SACC) program. For this project, Bounce piloted regular social-emotional learning programming in one SACC site, selected by YMCA, that serves underserved kids and families with the highest need.
Building Resilience in Louisville Youth was a finalist in the national Children and Youth Resilience Challenge. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched the Resilience Challenge as part of President Biden’s Unity Agenda and Mental Health Strategy and an initiative of the HHS Behavioral Health Coordinating Council Subcommittee on Children and Youth.
