Heard they going shut down H3 to use it for Covid19 testing. The numbers in Hawaii have been increasing lately and I worry about my ohana and friends there. The numbers here in Vegas have been going down but still high. Thanks for sharing this video, one of my favorite drives on O'ahu. Feeling homesick lately but I plan to fly back to Hawaii to spend time with friends and family and do some surfing when this virus dies off. Hoping the best for you and your ohana. 🌴Aloha!~ Everyone, I hope everyone staying safe. We are going through a really hard time because of the virus, As we have endured so far, I hope that we will continue to help each other and overcome this pandemic well. City and state officials are planning a full closure of the H-3 Freeway between the Halawa Interchange and the Halekou Interchange next week to continue COVID-19 surge testing on Oahu. Both directions will be closed from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 3. Testing stations will be set up on both sides of the Harano Tunnels to service the north and southbound directions. After testing, drivers will be asked to continue on H-3 to the end of the closure and will be able to use Likelike Highway or Pali Highway as alternative routes. [info from KITV4] It's really frustrating because I can't go outside to shoot any videos. I have some video clips that I took before lockdown when the weather was good.
