Nice video. Lots of helpful tips. Love the way that you are talking about how expensive parts are. Biggest advice for people that are starting with airsoft pistols is that if you want a TM hi capa be prepared to invest lot of money, patience and time. I have a tm hi capa 5.1 for almost one year now. My first upgrade was the Airsoft Masterpiece slide cause plastic one broke when my rear sight flew off. Couldn't find it so my second update was AIP fiber optic sights. Other upgrades that I did: AIP 140% slide spring, short stroke, Guarder loading nozzle, Nine ball power barrel 6.0, Mayple leaf autobot 70 bucking and I did the stippling on the grip.

Personally I'd replace the barrel along with the slide but I get a threaded barrel so I can use a tracer. As for your inner barrel assembly get a Maple leaf drop in unit. They have autobot buckings in them. Also the tighter id increases velocity and accuracy. If you plan to use this as a primary I recommend that you get a m4 mag conversion although you will need a hpa rig. Also since the same probably not walk back you should short-stroke it. Through the tab in the magazine that the pushes up on the fly catch but since there's going to be beans in the bag the entire time that won't be because there's no follower outside of the m4 mag which is why the BB's in the hicapa mag part don't feed unless there's bb's in the m4 mag.

I just found out that novritch sells a slide that comes with a custom short stroke kit that allow for the slide catch to work. The slide has an enlarged catch so I think that's why it works but it's only 60$ and seems pretty good to me.

Yeah all 5.1 barrels should be the same so every thing is cross compatible for barrels I think. The best are going to be the cowcow and AM ones of course, but its kinda bad spending almost as much money on the barrel as the good. Cheaper options include Nineball, 5ku, and angel customs. U can also just get one from Armorer works for cheap if you just want a color change.

Ima be honest with you the only good metal slides are gonna run you at least $120 and almost all of them are out of stock right now But when you do get one i would advise getting a higher rated recoil spring to match the new weight of the slide. recoil spring is what cycles the gun and a higher tension spring will improve the rate of fire also you can look at 3d printed slides which wont last as long but are easier to come by now and days But honestly a new slide isnt a big thing to worry about if your running the gun stock it is gonna wear down faster than a normal hi capa but that is because you are gonna be blasting on full auto buuuut when you do decided to become part of the metal slide master race make sure you get the brand “airsoft masterpiece” they have the best fitment and reputation for quality parts, and pick up at least a 140% recoil spring and a short stroking kit If you wanna hear this from a pro look up deemoe hi capa builds 👌🏻

At first you only need the gun. The stock gun will last you for a while until the slide cracks. When the slide cracks you will automatically need to buy an aluminum slide and recoil spring (140%). Airsoft masterpiece slides are the gold standard. Eventually other stuff will slowly break along the way like : hop up chamber, a bucking, blowback nozzle, and the guide rod. Stuff like the inner barrel and leaf spring and piston head and such should not break, and you will only have to replace it for an upgrade or if you messed it up. If you have any more questions let me know.

Products will tell you which one they are meant for. (Lots of stuff is cross compatible tho). Just by looking at it you can see the 4.3 is a lot shorter, and usually the slide stops at the frame(Like a glock 17 kinda) while the 5.1 has the 1911 look to it where it shoots past the frame.

The thing with EMG guns is that they are built already to work pretty well. If I had it I would focus on cosmetic stuff like sights, suppressors, mag wells, stuff like that. If you're talking about upgrades you could change the recoil springs to something that feels better for you. Bear in mind that when you replace or upgrade parts EMG is made by AW which uses a bigger-sized blowback nozzle (15mm) as well as a bigger housing so it isn't TM compatible in those regards without modding.

-You DONT want to upgrade the recoil spring for the plastic slide. That will increase tension and break it. Use a few recoil buffers to increase the gas-efficiency of the slides parts instead. -The sticking of your AM Nozzle can be removed by using a 180% Nozzle Spring, and consistent, frequent oiling and cleaning of your Nozzle. You want to also add an o-ring in your BBU that is NOT causing any friction on the Nozzle. Otherwise, great review for beginners to the 2011 Hi Capa platform.

This is gonna make allot of Karen’s mad but my most expensive airsoft gun is $1,510.59 USD why because umbrella armory did the upgrading for me so it works when I’m done upgrading it 😆 The most I would spend on a hicapa that I upgraded would be probably around 600 dollars not including the price of the gun because after that it’s all bonus points and everything else isn’t necessary and a required upgrade to improve performance
