Hi Ryan, Have seen a few of your vids today as I'm researching a public land Hawaii Hunt. I especially liked your perspective on the 700,000 acres of public land in danger of loosing opportunities for hunting. That would be extremely expensive and nearly impossible to accomplish eradicating all those animals. As evidenced in the above video where you hadn't seen sheep for I think you said 2 decades! The damage is done. Everywhere I go Man has changed the landscape from what it was with introduction of invasive species. Kudzu in S.E. America. Lionfish, the list goes on and on. I don't believe we can go back. We must find a new balance. Anyway, I am an avid Bowhunter here in Salida Colorado. I would love to invite you on our annual September Backpack hunt for Elk during the rut! Who knows, perhaps we could meet up in April on the Big Island to look over some maps and discuss the flora and fauna distribution. Hope to hear from you. Aloha.

Thank you for sharing your experiences! I am curious if there is a place to listen to your episode #6 podcast: Episode 6 DIY Public Hunting Hawaii? It seems to be unavailable everywhere that I find it listed, and I don't see a video for it. I am very curious to listen to it. Thank you!

Hi Ryan, great video mate and i like your balanced take on private land hunts and public land. Both serve a different need set and have appeal to different people. if i find myself in Hawaii i will look you up for an Axis deer hunt. Johnny

Thanks! I don't have axis deer on the island I live, but I do try to travel annually to Lanai to get after some axis.
