You press the locking pin down don't pull em out. An 8 clips on the airfilter box it's at the front under the intake pipe. Cool video

The filter is a lifetime filter if cared for properly. The maintenance schedule would follow a typical K&N air filter. You can use the K&N reoiler kit and the same service intervals they recommend for the filter portion.

DOES THE K&N FILTER CREATE A LOUDER SOUND OR IS THAT ALL PIPE?

The air filter will help open up the system a little and will have some effect, not as drastic as the initial pipe though.
