I love that you met DKDKTV I'd love to see a collab. Also, to answer thoughtfully your question about ATEEZ. I think there are several factors that lead to them really blowing up in the western market. Other than making zero bad songs and really unique sound which I think are obvious to fans but not what immediately grabs your attention. Firstly, their performance videos. The style of dance and very grungy hip hop style is huge here and the dance covers are still super iconic to the fandom. They caught people's attention and they are noticeably more expressive and powerful when they perform. Their faces really sell the performance and I think all of that really appeals to western audiences in particular. This carried over to every performance since and fancams and MVs have really been integral in gaining attention. Secondly, they are actual crackheads. They are loud and NEVER boring and their personalities being very outgoing and meme-y really draws laughs and affection from western fans. We eat that shit up. They are always giving us great content to laugh at but then it's clear they are especially close from that and these are the things that draw initial attention and keep you coming back. Also, they have been very active in like 9 months since debut they have released 7 mvs 2 reality shows not including their self produced youtube one and gone on a world tour that they sold out really early. I think they have successfully "struck while the iron is hot" and prepared enough to maintain a strong momentum since debut which I think from a marketing perspective has been very wise. I think the reason ATEEZ got so popular so fast is for a few reasons. 1) Even though their songs are in Korean, their style is similar to American Hip-hop. Or at least their debut song was. Treasure kind of blew up. 2) Even though a lot of groups have talented dancers, ATEEZ was kind of known for their dancing before they even debuted with KQ-Fellaz. 3) Their very loud and extra. Sometimes that can be a bad thing, but in their case it works. Even on DKDK's interview with them it's titled like "The most choatic interview" or something like that. It's gives off very fun and genuine feelings, like you get the sense that they're actually being themselves. 4) I'm not exactly sure what "My music taste" is, but it allowed them to tour in America like right when they debuted, as well as get them in contact to do a bunch of interviews. 5) I think like BTS they are very involved in their social media, engaging their viewers and fans and all that. They are also just very likable people, not that I've met them, but from looking at some clips from their V-lives as well as seeing interviews their in, they just seem very wholesome as well as very chaotic and funny. It also doesn't hurt that all their music is really good. Not just saying that as a fan, because while I love BTS and NCT there are still a few songs where I'm like "I can tell a lot went into this and I respect it, but I'm just not into this particular song." Also, as you said they are all very attractive, and have distinct features; which there are going to be people who like them solely for that fact too. :) Hope that made sense!

I spent 10 years working in live events/programming at conventions and it sounds like someone in programming dropped the ball with informing the a/v tech operators in your performance space about your technical needs and set up. While k-con is a young convention it’s been around long enough to know not to have things like that happen, and not just on the main/mnet stage. Also Aoora is such a precious, creative soul. I think you two were destined to be friends as you actually compliment each other really well and help each other grow in ways you may not have or may have taken longer to get to on your own.
