What numbskull said Joey was untrainable? Kelpies are brilliant little guys and very responsive. We have our own Red and Tan named Ripper he came off a Beef Cattle farm too. A couple of years ago there was an ongoing drought here in NSW Australia. It led to farmers selling off all of their cattle/sheep because it was too expensive to keep hand feeding them. Many of them also lost their farms. So there was a big drive to get people to adopt all the unwanted farm dogs. We got our Ripper then. Amazing little doggo's.

The organization that brought Joey to The Farm said she was untrainable and I believe that came from the farmer she was with. Kelpies only answer to those they have respect for, seems to me there was a lack of respect not an untrainable dog. She’s highly intelligent but Luke had to totally retrain her for their farm work and not herding sheep. Look at what a beautiful dog that came out of that training. She is gorgeous through and through. She only has eyes for Luke though and there’s a mutual respect between them. He rides the motorbike so she can run, she runs because he rides and must come out on top. I’ve never seen a harder working dog than Joey. She can’t be bothered with anyone else as long as there’s work to be done and winning is the outcome.♥️♥️

Joey is the hardest working dog ever. She goes hard all day and comes in to crash. I love how she jumps into Luke's arms. Her relationship with Cutie Pie and Miss Kitty Rose is so sweet. She doesn't really like to play with the rest of the dogs like she does with those two.

I love Joey. Her playing with Cutie Pie and KR are so much fun. One time Luke told her to “drop” and her chin went right to the cement. Sam said, “now she’s just showing off”. She’s one my favorites. My list keeps getting longer.

Joey is so fast, she is a blur at times!!! Luke is "her" person and she gives him complete adoration!! She loves CP and when Kitty Rose came into the pack, Joey was the 1st one that played with her and she was so gentle! Joey is very intelligent, she learns quickly and will do anything for Luke.
