Fun fact about the name Mama: in Romanian, mama is a word that essentially means ‘sweetie’. My dad has a habit of giving our cats nicknames like ‘bobo’, ‘kiki’, ‘gigi’, and you guessed it-‘Mama’. You may have not known that, but now you do and I hope it gave the name a whole new meaning! :]

Great job on rescuing cats. I rescued my cat many years ago. She was starving . I gave her a great life . She passed on last year . It was very sad for me. I do take care of an outside feral cat now . He or she only needs food once in a while. The cat hunts 99.9 percent of its food . It rarely bugs me for food. I call my feral cat friend Patches because of the yellowish and white fur.

Well, I admire you for taking in all of those babies. And I truly understand fully believing that as soon as these babies are well enough, they will be adopted out to loving forever homes...yeah...right...I have one now that my son found on a cold wet December night and it was on a weekend. We had 4 huge Boxer/Mastiff mix dogs. We didn't need a cat. So when my son took out the trash that night and came back in with a cold, wet very young kitten I was like...NO NO NO!! Monday the little fuzzy ginger kitty had to go. Well, here we are 11 years later and we can't imagine being without him. Then about 6 years ago, a lady I know that breeds Bengals, I used to help her when she would have multiple births and may have a runt or 2. Or if they just needed some extra care, I would step in. Well she had a litter of Bengals and one of them was born with a birth defect. It's called Flat Chested Kitten Syndrome, I have no idea how they get it but most of the time they don't live. It's depending on the severity of the defect. I fostered 2 or 3 of them for her and they didn't live. But at least they got to experience love and affection during their short little lives. About 6 years ago she had another one that was born with it. But his wasn't quite as bad as some of the others but he wasn't thriving. He wasn't able to get to moms dinner table in time to secure a nipple. So he was loosing weight and very lethargic. So my friend called me, told me about him and asked me if I wanted to try and save him. I love a challenge so I said 'bring him on.' The poor little fella was nothing but a head and eyes. He was extremely little. My friend she made sure that she planted in my head that he might not live. They didn't think that he would. He wasn't even an ounce at 3 weeks old. I was ok with it. Well here we are 6 years later and he is my very busy problem child. He is my heart just like I gave birth to him since I've had him basically since he was born. It was a very hard battle for the first 4 months. He came very close to death 3 times but we beat deaths butt. When he turned that corner and made it over that hill, he went from barely able to hold his head up, to pulling down my curtains and mini blinds, getting every plastic grocery bag out of my cabinet and piling them up all over my living room and diving in them. But I couldn't fuss at him because I remember when he couldn't even hold his head up and I had to feed him by hand every 10 min. Administer meds and give fluids with a IV bag under his skin. So if he wanted to destroy the living room, then I would just fix it when I get up. He's older now and the kitten phase is over. But he still has his moments. I keep a couple of spare mini blinds in the closet...just in case. But he stopped that when the mini blinds fought back one day. I heard this big crash in my living room on evening and jumped up to see what happened and the blinds where hanging off the window and he was hiding under the bed for about 2 hours. He never pulled at them again. He is such a big chicken. He is scared of his own shadow. But he's my scaredy-cat.

I just found your channel today randomly, and I had to say, my first kitty as an “adult” was found at my parents house, a feral baby, I had to sneak her into my apartment that also didn’t allow animals, and I named her Miss Kitty ☺️. Next Wednesday it’ll be a year since she crossed the rainbow bridge, we were best buds for 14 years. I miss her a lot, but we got two new babies 7 mos ago that helps with the pain.

I had a Foof! She was a gray puff ball with eyes who always had an opinion. Her opinions generally were we were all idiots but still, sassy opinions. I have a picture of her giving side stink eye that I made my MyChart icon. She unfortunately had defects due to inbreeding and she stopped growing at 3 months before passing away. But she had a good life while here.

Ironically enough I also have a cat named Mama (we call her mama cat). She was a stray, I brought her inside (me and my mom have a non-lethal cat allergy) and she had four wonderful babies. My family ended up keeping two of them; a short haired Siamese named Batears, and a Black medium haired cat named Snoopy. Then in 2020, the person we gave the other two kittens to, had a similar situation (her granddaughter brought in a pregnant stray, and she had babies) and my family ended up with an Long haired orange cat named Pippen.

Snoopy and Batears are incredibly social and friendly boys. Snoopy loves to explore and try and steal food. And Batears just wants love all time. Mama cat likes people, but only on her terms, and is the master of hiding. Then there's Pippen. He has an obsession with ice and ice water, is not a fan of attention, and is just a ball of orange mischief.

Your cats are gorgeous, I see you have a thing for tuxedos lol. I am a huge cat lover. I have 3 males, a black cat named Shadow that I saved from a couple that got her from a horrible animal shelter. My seal point Mushu that will do anything for Vaseline. When I went to look at the litter I was told they had a white cat lol he is definitely not a white cat. Then we have the baby of the bunch, he will be 3 in September. I found him only 6-8 was old in my tree crying during a bad storm. He is to me the most gorgeous orange tabby I have ever seen. His name is Spencer Reed. He is the bully of the bunch, picks fights with the old men and cry’s like crazy for cat treats.

There's a particular way to do it without a lot of difficulty. Go look up Jackson Galaxy's video on introducing cats to each other. His channel is a perfect pairing with this one. His animal behavior knowledge is tops, and he's delightfully goofy. He is to cats what Cesar Milan is to doggos. 😁

Luckily I lived next door to a cat whisperer. I'm not sure how many cats she had, but one of them was a super cool orange tabby who was my buddy. I got some great advice from my neighbor. I was only concerned about the female cat, the male was very social, loved everybody. I loved him. I barely knew her - she was always hiding. She ended up being the alpha - our dogs were TERRIFIED of her, lol! Hissy, crabby, bitchy girl. Did NOT like dogs. Did NOT like new people. Didn't like me (loved my ex, tho?)...... until she settled in and figured out I was safe. She hid under the desk in the office. So I spent a lot of time on the computer and let her come to me. I was very patient. She was worth the wait. Such a sweetheart when I got to know her. 😊❤🐾🐾

Hi! I just found your channel and I love the content. I've got a question for you if you've got the time. If not, that's cool and I totally get it. Thank you for the content! So, if you're up for it, here's a lot of words that'll eventually be a question. I rescued a feral kitten 2 weeks ago today. 3 days after that, I rescued another kitten from a different litter. I've been keeping them in separate cages close to each other, because if I separate them they cry for each other. However, when they were allowed out together, Goomba - the first rescue - was being super aggressive and predatory with Gandalf - the second rescue. Goomba is about 8 weeks, Gandalf is about 6. They play pretty nice through the bars of the cages, but when they're out, Goomba treats Gandalf like a rodent and chases her and dominates her; it's not fighting, but it's super aggressive and Gandalf doesn't have a good time. About a week ago I stopped letting them out together and let them out to play for a few hours every day separately. They play and chase each other through the cages and enjoy each other. Idk. Do you think they'll ever get along? Or is the dynamic between the 2 set? I'd really love to have them live together with us, but will ultimately do what's best for them. Please tell all your cats I love them!! 💜💜💜💜
