The Hinotori films need a Criterion Collection release! They are true ova works of art!

Modern anime nowadays is very flashy and cool but these anime from a bygone era are timeless. I really miss this style of visuals, sfx/music and storytelling. This was peak animation and what made anime into "anime" in my opinion.
This is the best ova Ive ever seen. Especially this music. edit:I like the fact that they have picked the right musicians for this movie.

The ending was great. But just imagine this alternative ending. What if Gau’s wife appears with the phoenix to see him one last time and tell she forgives him, and he should stop being so hard on himself and then flies away with the phoenix to sky.

I first saw a little bit of this movie last July 7th last year of the first coronavirus pandemic happened until today July 7th I decide to watch the hole thing thinking it is better then the first animated film, because this film has no kissing scenes, I did felt bad that Buchi and Hayame died last year I look a little bit, but now I felt bad Akanemaru just died and never had a chance to be reborn as a human and instead said to be reborn as a fish in the ocean and I was shocked by it then the disappointing first animated film where this other guy who is a space pilot fall for a women and loves nature, but then there is a kiss scene which I thought that will not happened either. But then the women married another guy and I didn't like that and I despise that movie now then this one, but Pincho said to him which he want it to be a lie and I didn't liked how the first movie went, but the women died never get to have kids with either of the one guys she didn't get to choose which she should have married the guy she kissed, not that rock guy, I hate it, because I'm an ideal person, but I can't believe that first animated movie wasn't like how Gaou and Hayame never have kissed even Akanemaru and Buchi never kissed so I thought Godo and Rena will never kissed either and I disgust that the two who kissed didn't marry, I wish Pincho should have stopped Rena marry the other guy who is not Godo, bullshot that poor Godo ended being unlike Jiro marries Melmo, I do not like he had died and become a baby, again, I wish he became a husband to Rena, rock should never be a husband to Rena right? This ending of the movie I watched the hole thing so I was like oh no, don't remind me that took place in the Godo universe, but started to make think of Star Wars where the girl sings your silver wings and universe, but I wonder if anyone felt the shame way upset over the first animated movie when Godo did not marry Rena have a newborn together instead called Godo Jr. so he won't become a baby, he lives as an elderly man, agree?! Even that first animated movie never mentioned romance on wikipedia, so how could there be a kissing scene between Godo and Rena and then they never got married, I hate that, due to me being an ideal person, I thought the creators or Tezuka was an ideal person, because he did Melmo marry Jiro she fell in love and have the first kiss I believe I did not seen yet in the ending of the Marvelous Melmo series right if any know who Melmo and Jiro are?! I wonder if Melmo's father was ever shown or mentioned, back to Gaou and Akanemaru, but I felt bad that Akanemaru never become to have his own human ancestors, but was he chosen to become a fish, because he was punished for having Gaou's last and only right arm cut off or something by the guards, I don't know if Gaou gets his arms back by the phoenix and have Hayame, again brought back to life, such a shame Akanemaru never get to see Buchi alive, I don't know if that was really her as a ghost, I don't know if she is reborn as a fish like him or become a human like him he have wanted to be when he cries.
