Great review, Jas! I have a bottle of the regular harmony... It is slowly opening up after I first tried it when mostly what I got was fudge. Fortunately, I like fudge!

Thanks Foodquig, The regular is so much better and as you said the more time it has to open and breath the better it keeps getting. Fudge is good, sweet but good!

Jason, great review! I read somewhere that the difference between this and the regular Harmony is the added small amount of Yamasaki Sherry Cask.

There is definitely sherry cask influence coming through but for me it's a young whisky which has been added as it's alot more punchy.

Thanks for another great review. Never tried this version of the Harmony as I don’t travel all that frequently &, when I do, my eyes automatically wander towards scotch nowadays. The reason being is that Ive developed a bit of Japanese whisky fatigue due to the obscene prices and pain-in-the ass effort it takes to find anything high quality at a price approximating fair retail value (especially compared to the different Scottish whiskies you can get for the same $). I know prices aren’t set by the distillery but the price to quality ratio (for me) of most Japanese whiskies is really starting to turn me off from the entire category. Don’t get me wrong, if I see a Yama or Hakshu 12 at normal retail ($70-80), I’ll snap em up in a heartbeat. But I can’t be bothered to search them out anymore & zero chance I’ll pay inflated prices for inferior return. The end result is that I’m rapidly becoming indifferent to Japanese whisky & strengthening my preferences for certain scotch brands.

You're very welcome Jay, I completely understand you, as when I was just getting into whiskies the whole thought of Japanese whiskies and their gradually increasing prices, whilst at the time were a put off for me but when I look back I missed out on a lot of bargain's like the Hibiki 17 for £160 and now its around £420. However its one of the reasons I looked into the Taiwanese whiskies from Kavalan and have really enjoyed what they have released into the market so in a way being put off from the Japanese whiskies at that point in time, it opened up a completely new found interest into the wonders of Kavalan. Thanks for watching & sharing!

Harmony is satisfying enough and comes at a cheaper price point. However, i will pick up a MS if I see lying around at an airport.
