Picked up this unit at Amazon on a Black Friday deal. Installed with no problems and got great signals in the living room and den. Since I'm in line of sight to the tower, pointing the antenna was a no brainer. I would like to install the outdoor antenna a bit higher per the owners manual (my box had one in it) and saw you were initially placing the antenna on a piece of PVC pipe. Manufacturer recommends a 13 foot difference between the height of the outdoor antenna and the indoor antenna. I will give that a try. Thanks for the review.

Why not put it up on the roof. I think it would be even better thsn near the ground. Nice that it actually works. My dad uses one & it works great.

The connection just from the antenna should be wrapped with some Scott 33 black electrical tape. I have been using this stuff for years when working on my ham radio outside antennas. You want to keep moisture from getting into the connectors and corroding them. On another note I have used the Scott Super 33 tape to wrap aluminum antenna sections together. These sections have clamps but to ensure a better connection I use the tape. I also use PVC cement and dab over the tape. What happens is the chemicals in the PVC cement will cause the tape to melt enough to create a real water tight connection. I have taken antenna sections apart that have been up in weather for over 40 years and the joints look like new. You have to cut the taped joint longways and peel it apart.

The "sticky tape he mentioned when unboxing is actually waterproof tape that is to be used on the connections.

Two questions: (1) why don't we not go back to the old Rabbit ears of the 1960? If anybody other than an expensive installer can do the job, I should be dumbfounded. This is simply B.S. (2) For 3 years in the same location and with the same phone I had no trouble AT ALL with the phone, and all of a sudden the signal dropped! Coincidence? I don't think so. Did the provider buy lots of shares in the booster company? This sounds a lot more plausible. Totally corrupt conduct!

I know a lot of cell companies are "upgrading" their towers to provide faster data speeds. I also previously had great service at my house and once the upgrade happened we lost all service and had to switch carriers. Very frustrating. WAY out of my budget. I get decent wi-fi, and pretty good cell service even tho I live out in the National Forest in Michigan. If there was something less expensive, it would be good for people like me on a fixed income.

Yea why dont u turn on wifi calling on your cell phone device then u wont have any reception problems im shocked that a lot of fuckin people dont kno that n its the year 2023 🤣🤣🤣
