What an amazing watch. Brought back so many memories.

That team played with pure joy. I’d say that day, plus the League Cup final plus the 8-1 game the next week against Ayr United were the greatest football I’ve ever seen, along with 1970 Brazil. Often wondered what Peter Cormack might have added to their trophies, if he’d stayed, but in the end I think that maybe if Big John McNamee had stuck around longer they would have won everything, and had a run like the Lisbon Lions. GGTTH. Ah - just heard Jimmy O’Rourke died. He was a total Hibee and the heart and soul of that great team.

I was there. Second best day of my life as a Hibs fan beaten only by 21 May 2016 only because of the significance of that day to the club and it’s support. For me Turnbull’s Tornadoes played a brand of total football every bit as good as claimed by Ajax in the 70’s.

I was neither 1 y.o. and couldn't even know about Hibs existence since I'm living in Italy. Many years later I was simply struck by what these men did for our fans and perfectly understood what you lucky fans could feel for just being THERE! 💚

Brilliant. I was only 3 at the time but heard the stories and watched the footage. A fascinating insight into the game and to hear the thoughts of Stanton, Blackley, Brownlee and Edwards. Its about time Hibs celebrated and made more of this game. History indeed. What's also incredible about this is that I played against Donald Park when he was at Meadowbank Thistle, just shows what a long career Donald had. Well played Hibs really enjoyed watching that. #GGTTH

I mind being in the old centre stand and two Jambos were sitting behind us. At ½ time, one turned to his pal and said, ' I hope the Herts dinny score. We'll have to gie them a cheer!'

The photo at 36.44 is indeed Smith, Johnstone, Reilly, Turnbull and Ormond. The photo at 37.00 reads Smith,Turnbull, Reilly, Combe and Ormond. My guess is that when that was taken Bobby Johnstone had moved to Man. City, with whom he won a FA cup medal in '56, when they beat Birmingham City 3-1. Bobby was among the scorers in that game, made memorable by Man. City's goalkeeper Bert Trautmann playing on with a broken bone in his neck. No subs. in those days! First saw the Famous 5, Coronation Cup Final, May 1953 at Hampden v Celtic. Sadly the Hibees lost 2-0. I was just a wee boy.....but the memory lives on. ❤🏐

Greatest hibs team ive seen so unfortunate that world class right back broke his leg in very next game and team not quite as balanced after. Would have still won league if it wasn't for a brilliant celtic team but never quite fulfilled their potential.

No offence, but to suggest Jimmy Johnstone didn't fancy it against Erich Schaedler, is laughable. Jinky was one of the bravest footballers I've ever seen, he'd be chopped by defenders, get up and take the ball straight at the hammer thrower that just chopped him. See Celtic v Athletico Madrid 1974 for evidence.
