I love how most of these clips are from Race to the Edge. You can tell when it switches from the series to the movies. The movies are smoother but the series gave us more screentime with all the characters. Sad to see it end but all good things must come to an end. Astrid was focusing on being the best in her class and didn’t really talk to hiccup. Then when the events of HTTYD1 happened she got to know him and they became friends. Their relationship at the start is like most movies to be honest. One of them likes the other, the other doesn’t really know the main character, then the events of the film cause them to get to bond and get to know each other :)

I Just love the fact that at the beginning of the first HTTYD movie, Astrid was the mean girl and doesn't even paying attention for hiccup and wasn't intersted on a friend or relationship with him... And years later they get married and becomes a family. Thats the point I try to Tell my crush who won't give me a chance. I Tell her: "think back to hiccup and Astrid... I'm Sure we can Do this... Togehter... But you need to give me a chance to let me Show you and proof that everything can worked... Even when It's seems impossible... Be my Astrid" She understand this references and my opinon... But guess who didn't get a chance at all... Right... me 😅 But I trying to explain that even when something seems impossible or unrealistic... Remember.... She starts off as a literal anger-motivated bully, then learns to start treating others kindly, then learns to be truly loyal and be there for folks when they need it. And guess what? This humility, instead of weakening her character, made her three times stronger. Amazing character writing.
