Hiccups in the womb.

Even though our specialty at Clearview Ultrasound i ATX is 3D imaging, we still love to see those subtle movements that can only be captured in 2D. Yes, babies get the hiccups... and they hate them.

It’s so cute when my baby has them she tries to let it pass I can tell and when I prompt her to try and move she moves, pauses, then fusses again because they didn’t stop! My baby ❤

I am 26 weeks prego (2nd child) and my baby has hiccups right now. She seems to have hiccup episodes at least once per day that last around 5 minutes. I remember when I was admitted into the hospital with my first kid my baby and the other lady's baby had hiccups at the same time. It was cute/funny. We were hooked up to the thing that detects heart beats and could hear each other's baby hiccups.

35 weeks and it's kind of freaky to me. I remember thinking is that the pulse :/? Now I can actually feel her hiccups. Poor munchkin, her hiccups must shake her entire little body. Just drank water, hopefully that helps.

I’m a first time mom in my 30 week and when I started leaking milk I searched it up because it scared me and I didn’t know what it was well I searched it up and it said it was a sign of cancer 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I didn’t get worry because I knew it was my boobies making food for my baby but like I just wanted to know more like what it is called and stuff like that. Google is not the place moms should search information for. We should always ask the doctors

Poor baby! Today my baby boy had hiccups, it feels like a pulsating soft movement very close to my groin area, were his head is positioned now (he's upside down). I wish I could comfort him, I hate hiccups.

my little boy is head down too and when he gets the hiccups, like you I wish I could comfort him. I just talk to him and drink some water and get up and walk around a bit. That seems to help.

It's so true! When we see them during an ultrasound, particularly in HD, we actually see them having temper tantrums! That is sweet that you try to comfort her... :-)

Some moms don't get to feel the hiccups a lot, but some do! It's just a rhythmic "thumping" feeling from the inside. They may only happen for a few moments, or they can last a long time. And often it's difficult to tell they have hiccups because some babies will actually have a temper tantrum... when that happens, you don't feel the hiccups because they are thrashing around. 🙃
