When he says in the taxi everyone want to refuse to pay, it's actually a metaphor, implying that no matter whether they are poor or wealthy, people all are trying to act in their own advantage (goes back to the idea that everyone is wolf, and you should be careful not to be a sheep). Persian language is full of metaphors it is usually very hard to be translated into English

3:17 no the English subtitle is a little misleading. "Everyone" is mistakenly used as a translation for "the poor and the rich" meaning the rich would try to avoid paying for a cab which could be taken figuratively for "the more they have, the harder it gets to let go". This is a very very old song btw and while true, this is a depiction of the darkest and deepest of our problems so not all of Iran looks like this but this is what matters I guess. You can't find salvation unless you cut these problems from the root.

this song is old and its showing the slum, dirty and bad parts of the country for the music video purposes and to convey a specific message. the country is incredibly diverse and beautiful and definitely worth a visit but not at the moment since there is alot of conflict going on. but you can look at some youtubers videos who visited in the past 5 years like drew binsky, mark wiens, and the food ranger who not only go around and see the country but try the amazing and diverse foods from all different regions.

Hichkas comes from a poor background... south Tehran . the song is mostly about the class differences in society not politics .. especially back in those day there was a rap battle between rapper from south and north of tehran ( rich kids). ...northerns were mostly rapping about partying and you know normal life aspects and having fun on the other hand the guys from south had this dark themes in their raps mostly showing the dark sides of city like poverty, prostitution addictions and so on . you can also watch videos of other people visiting Iran showing life and daily routine in Tehran to see how its actually like ( spoiler : its not like what depicted here as the whole picture )

Hichkas knows literature in the high level of it and his songs are most lyricaly but he also has many hot songs in the past. About 10 years he doesn't work alot because the concept of rap in Iran is Taboo and many rappers can't earn enough money so they give up .
